Caveat: The gameweeks added to Fantasy Premier League (FPL) for the re-launch are listed as GW30+, GW31+ and are referred to as GW39, GW40 respectively throughout the Fix website.

Picks are always in the below format

  1. No.1 predicted by Fix
  2. Alternative high-ownership option. Over 20%
  3. Differential option. Under 20%

Kevin De Bruyne (ARS/BUR)

With eight goals to his name, De Bruyne has certainly not been shy of taking a shot at goal this season. Only Salah (98) has taken more shots than his 78 amongst midfielders. He leads the league in the creativity statistics and no player has made more assists (18) or created more chances (96) than the Belgian. Man. City have had a disappointing season by their standards but still top the table for attacking numbers. They are top for goals scored (68), shots in the box (SiB) (367), shots on target (SoT) (189) and ‘big chances’ (103). Their first opponents Arsenal have conceded 36 goals this season keeping just seven clean sheets. Only Spurs (418), Newcastle (443), Norwich (448), Bournemouth (451) and Villa (507) have allowed opponents more shots than their 415. Their second opponents Burnley have conceded 40 goals and are just behind Arsenal for shots conceded (404). Our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 11.0 for De Bruyne.

Jack Grealish (SHU/CHE)

Villa’s talisman, Grealish, has scored eight goals this season with only eight midfielders faring better. His total of 35 SiB sees him ranked seventh amongst midfielders. As the Stats Sandbox shows, Only six midfielders have managed more than his seven assists and he is fourth for chances created (69) and only Buendia (73), Maddison (75) and De Bruyne (96) have bettered that total. The Birmingham based side are languishing at the bottom of the table but their attacking numbers have been quite impressive. They are ranked 12th for both goals scored (34), SoT (115) and 10th for SiB (216). Their first opponents Sheff. Utd. have kept just four clean sheets on their travels this season, conceding 12 goals. The Blades have conceded 28 ‘big chances’, an average of over two a game. Their next opponents Chelsea have kept just six clean sheets this season and only Norwich (five), Villa, Bournemouth and Spurs (all four) have kept fewer. Just one of those six clean sheets came in away matches.  Our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 6.3 for Grealish.

Raheem Sterling (ARS/BUR)

Despite his numbers tailing off in the latter half of the season, only Mané (14) and Salah (16) have scored more goals than Sterling’s 11 amongst midfielders. As the Fix Heatmap feature shows, he averages 4.9 points per game and trails only Salah for SiB (62 to 81), penalty box touches (240 to 248) and is tied with the Egyptian for ‘big chances’ (23). Amongst Man. City mids, only De Bruyne (96) and Mahrez (46) have created more chances than his 35. Arsenal have kept just three clean sheets on the road this season, conceding 16 goals. The Gooners have allowed opponents 58 SoT and 23 ‘big chances’ over those matches. The Cityzens face Burnley next, a side that have kept just four clean sheets in their away games all season, conceding 21 goals. Only seven teams have allowed opponents more shots than the Clarets’ 219. Our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 8.6 for the Englishman.
