Haaland continues to justify his enormous price tag. He scored in Man City's 3-0 win over Liverpool in Gameweek 6, then bagged a hat-trick against Ipswich Town to rack up 13 points in Gameweek 7. He followed that up with 8 points against Aston Villa, taking his season total to 66. Brighton away next is an average fixture, followed by Nottingham Forest at home, before a kind trip to Fulham that looks very appealing.
Isak missed the Gameweek 6 clash with Man City but bounced back strongly. He scored in Liverpool's 2-1 win at Brentford for 9 points, then repeated the trick at home to Brighton in Gameweek 8, again returning 9 points. He faces a difficult trip to Arsenal next, but Crystal Palace away and Everton away after that offer more favourable prospects for those considering a move.
Jackson has risen twice this gameweek, reflecting a sharp upturn in form. He scored in Aston Villa's 2-2 draw with Brentford in Gameweek 6 for 9 points, then delivered a stunning 13-point haul against Man City in Gameweek 8, helping Villa to a 2-1 win. His next fixture at home to Fulham looks very easy, making him an attractive differential option at his price point.
The Brighton defender has been one of the standout budget options in recent weeks. He scored 8 points in a 2-0 win at Sunderland in Gameweek 6, then put in a remarkable 11-point performance at home to Crystal Palace in Gameweek 7 as Brighton won 5-0. He blanked against Liverpool in Gameweek 8, conceding twice. His next fixture away at Man City is very difficult, but a home game against Brentford and then a very easy trip to Hull follow shortly after.
João Pedro is injured with a thigh problem and has no confirmed return date, which will concern the huge number of FPL managers who own him. He scored 12 points against Bournemouth in Gameweek 6, including bonus points, but managed just 2 points at Everton in Gameweek 7. He did not start against Spurs in Gameweek 8 and did not score. With his availability uncertain, those holding him face a difficult decision ahead of Chelsea's difficult home fixture against Manchester United in Gameweek 9.
Cunha's price drop reflects a sharp dip in playing time. After a bright 10-point return against Spurs in Gameweek 6, he came off the bench for just 6 minutes at Leeds in Gameweek 7 and then started on the bench again in Gameweek 8, playing only 45 minutes as Man Utd lost 3-0 to Bournemouth at home. With his minutes so limited, he is hard to trust right now despite his obvious quality. Man Utd face a difficult trip to Chelsea next.
Two low-ownership players have also seen their prices cut today and are unlikely to be on many radars.
Rashford (Man Utd, now £6.8m, 1.1% ownership) drops in price as he continues to struggle for consistent involvement at Man Utd.
Diomande (Nott'm Forest, now £5.3m, 0.5% ownership) also falls, with the defender barely registering in FPL squads this season.
These FPL price changes are unlikely to affect the majority of managers given the negligible ownership figures, but budget builders keeping an eye on the market should note the updated costs.
