As shown in the image below, Sessegnon tops the Custom Stats xFPL table for Gameweek 34 with a score of 7.6. The 25-year-old Fulham midfielder scored his only attempt and kept a clean sheet.

O. Dango led all players for shots in the box (four), although the Burkina Faso international failed to land any of his efforts on target. He registered an xFPL score of 5.2.
No player created more chances than B. Fernandes (five). The Portuguese international added another assist to his impressive tally, but did not attempt a single shot, finishing with an xFPL score of 4.8.
Mateta was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. The French international was top for ‘big chances’ (two), which helped him record an xFPL score of 3.9.
Gibbs-White bagged another double-digit haul with 13 FPL points. The 26-year-old scored from one of his two attempts and also created a ‘big chance’ which Wood converted, leading to an xFPL score of 6.5.
xFPL is calculated primarily using expected goals (xG) and expected assists (xA), which combine to form expected FPL involvements (xG + xA = xI), along with expected clean sheets (xCS). These values are based on underlying statistics — for example, shot type and location determine the probability of scoring, which contributes to xG. xFPL then combines these metrics, factoring in appearance and bonus points to produce an overall expected FPL point score.
As shown in the Transfer Analytics tool below, Gibbs-White is the most transferred-in player ahead of Gameweek 35, with over 150,000 FPL managers adding him to their teams at the time of writing.

Cherki has emerged as the preferred Man City midfielder over Semenyo, with nearly 150,000 FPL managers bringing him into their teams. Haaland and O’Reilly also remain popular picks, while Okafor continues to attract interest after back-to-back double-digit hauls in Gameweeks 32 and 33.
J. Timber, João Pedro and Ekitiké are the three most-sold assets. It is worth noting that João Pedro featured for Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final, so the Brazilian should be available for Gameweek 35.
Wilson and Mbeumo are also on the chopping block after several consecutive blanks.
Looking at the top 10 forward transfer combinations, João Pedro → Watkins (12.2%) is the most popular transfer combination across all positions.

Five of the top 10 forward combinations involve bringing in Haaland with several FPL managers parting ways with the Norwegian international after Man City's blank in Gameweek 34.
Six of the combinations involve selling João Pedro with Bowen, Thiago, Calvert-Lewin and Igor Jesus popular targets. Meanwhile, Watkins and Bowen feature in both the most sold and most bought forwards, which reflects the dilemma FPL managers are currently facing.
The top 10 midfield transfer combinations are dominated by Cherki with the French international featuring in half of the top 10. Gibbs-White and Okafor are the other popular midfield targets.
Numerous Semenyo owners have decided to make the move to Cherki with the combination the most popular (6.2%). Mbeumo, Gordon, Xavi, Palmer and Wilson are the other midfielders being sold.
The top 10 defender transfer combinations are largely occupied by O'Reilly and Gabriel with the duo accounting for eight of the top 10 combinations. Saliba and Muñoz are the other popular picks.
Several popular defensive assets such as Thiaw, Virgil, Senesi, J.TImber, Cucurella, Andersen and Hill are being sold.
Man City are likely to have another Double Gameweek this season and getting their midfield pick right could be crucial over the run in.

As the above image from our Player Heatmaps feature shows, Cherki (32) has scored eight more FPL points than Semenyo (24) over the last six Gameweeks despite playing fewer minutes. With Guardiola's sights firmly on the title race, the Frenchman's minutes should be more secure and he has started for the Manchester side in all five of their last competitive matches.

As the statistics above show, Cherki clearly has the advantage. The Frenchman has scored fewer goals (two vs one) but is ahead in every other attacking metric.
He has attempted more shots (14 vs 18) and shots in the box (10 vs 15) while notching a higher xG tally (1.72 vs 1.83) as well.
In terms of creativity, he is miles ahead with more FPL assists (zero vs three), attempted assists (four vs 18) and 'big chances' created (one vs four).
Given that the Frenchman is £1.4m cheaper as well, making the move could pay off over the next four Gameweeks.
