Liverpool, Leeds, Arsenal, Wolves, Spurs, Burnley, Watford and Palace play twice in double gameweek 26 and in this blog the projections of players from these teams are compared to others who do not double to see whether they are worth investing in for a longer period of four gameweeks.
The Liverpool trio of Salah, Mane and Alexander-Arnold are the top three projected scorers for the next four gameweeks despite their blank in gameweek 27. Ronaldo and De Bruyne are the fourth and fifth highest projected scorers despite no doubles in the short term which should provide food for thought for managers looking to sell them for other double gameweek assets.
The Liverpool fullbacks dominate the projections in defence as expected but the names below make for interesting reading. Wolves have a double in gameweek 26 and unlike Arsenal and Liverpool, they also feature in gameweek 27 which sees their defensive pair of Semedo and Saiss come in third and fifth place respectively. The Birmingham side are also guaranteed a game in gameweek 30 when other teams might have a blank fixture due to FA Cup involvement. Burnley are the only team with back to back doubles in gameweek 26 and 27 and Mee is the defender of choice as per the Fix Algorithm. Man. City defence is expected to keep ticking along which sees Dias feature in fourth.
As mentioned earlier, Salah, Mane and De Bruyne top the projections and Mahrez coming in at fifth emphasises that Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers should stick with their Man. City midfielders despite the lack of a double gameweek. Raphinha could be a shrewd pickup, he is projected to score higher than the Arsenal midfielders due to no blank fixture in gameweek 27 and good fixtures after. Son's numbers also catch the eye, the South Korean is nailed to start for Spurs and also has good fixtures after the double.
Ronaldo is top of the forwad projections by a considerable margin with Kane in second. Kane and Son are projected to score similarly over the next four gameweeks so the latter might offer better value for money. Lacazette comes in third and is the highest projected scoring forward for double gameweek 26. Jiménez showed some glimpses of form last weekend and is worth a look especially for managers looking to save their free hit chips. Broja is an interesting one, the Albanian is projected to score well over the next four gameweeks and at his price offers excellent value despite the lack of a double.
