Caveat: This blog was written on Thursday 27th October. Currently Haaland is yellow-flagged on Fantasy Premier League (FPL). We await Pep Guardiola’s press conference for more information.
Haaland's brace against Brighton made it seven league goals for the Norwegian international over the last six gameweeks and as the Stats Sandbox image below shows, over that period no forward has taken more shots in the box (SiB) (20) or landed more shots on target (SoT) (12). Only Kane, Jesus (seven each) and Watkins (nine) have been afforded more 'big chances' than his six. Man. City lead the goal scoring charts over the same period with 16 and are second for SoT (34). Their hosts Leicester have conceded eight goals over the last six gameweeks but have kept four clean sheets. The Foxes are ranked 12th for shots conceded (79) and 10th for 'big chances' conceded (10). Our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 7.5 for Haaland.
Salah has scored just one goal over the last six gameweeks but is top amongst midfielders for both SiB (15) and 'big chances' (five). Only Maddison and Foden (eight each) have landed more SoT than his seven. Liverpool have scored seven goals over the last six gameweeks and are top for 'big chances' (18). As the below image from our Fixture Analyser shows, the Merseyside outfit have a great run of fixtures leading up to the World Cup so it is a good time to buy their attackers. Their visitors Leeds have conceded eight goals over the same period and have kept one clean sheet. Only Liverpool (20) and Fulham (23) have allowed opponents more 'big chances' (15) than the Yorkshire side. Our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 7.3 for Salah.
Jesus will be looking to add to his tally of two goals over the last six gameweeks as Arsenal host Forest at the Emirates Stadium, the Brazilian international is ranked fifth amongst forwards for SiB (14) over the aforementioned period, while only Watkins (nine) has been afforded more 'big chances' than his seven. His total of nine SoT can only be bettered by Haaland, Kane and Watkins (all 12). He is one of the first names on the team sheet and is rated at 100% to start via our Predicted Lineups feature. Arsenal are ranked fifth for goals scored (11) and fourth for SoT (30) over the last six gameweeks but are 10th for 'big chances' (11). Their visitors Forest have kept clean sheets in their last two matches but have still conceded nine goals over the last six gameweeks with only Brentford (12), Fulham (13) and Wolves (14) more porous. Spurs (35), Brentford (36) and Fulham (38) are the only teams to have allowed opponents more SoT than the Nottingham side. Our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 7.6 for Jesus.
