If you are the sort of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) manager who enjoys going against the grain – or takes satisfaction from finding hidden gems before the crowd – then lowly selected players (differentials) can often provide value and offer a source of points which won’t be shared by many other managers. As long as the player picks are justifiable, differentials can give you an edge over your mini-league rivals.
In this article we look ahead to Gameweek 14 and find players from each position who are currently selected by less than 10% of managers, but could reward their owners in the upcoming gameweeks.
Caveats: This article was written on 27h October, prior to Thursday’s Europa League matches. Also, with unlimited transfers available in Gameweek 17, transfer recommendations are with the respect to fixtures between now and Gameweek 16 only.

With back-to-back double digit returns in Gameweeks 11 and 12, David Raya (£4.6m) is the fifth best goalkeeper in FPL this season.
While clean sheets have been difficult to come by for Brentford – according to our Opta Stats Sandbox, Brentford is ranked 15th for Shots Conceded (182) – Raya is something of a save points magnet, racking up 51 saves and 7 bonus points so far this season.
Add to this that Brentford has two easy fixtures on the horizon, then Raya could be a great differential between the sticks. Warning: you may want to make sure you have a playing sub-GK for Gameweek 16 when Brentford faces Manchester City.
We've helped over half-a-million people become better FPL managers.
