Sitting just outside of the Top 200k, with roughly one third of the season gone, Corey is in a reasonable position to push on for his usual Top 10k target. With a decent score of 59 points in Gameweek 13, Corey reflects on the season so far, which, despite his good start, has been one riddled with frustration.
I have never seen a template so strong in my FPL history. As a result, it is very difficult to make gains, as a good portion of players are shared across teams. For example, currently I own four players that are at 48% or more ownership. That’s insane. Further, with Haaland having established himself as essentially near perma-captain you are down to essentially playing 10 players. That makes moving up much more difficult. Maybe unsurprisingly, I have been within 201k-260k since Gameweek 6. I just can’t seem to make headway.
Despite these frustrations (check ownership stats using our Insight Live tool), Corey is optimistic about the future.
