Brian Brobbey tops the Custom Stats xFPL table for Gameweek 5 with a score of 12.5, the Dutch international was top for big chances (three) and shots on target (four) over the weekend.
No player attempted more assists than Morgan Gibbs-White (six) over the weekend, the 26-year-old was a popular transfer target going into Gameweek 5 but he delivered no FPL returns for his owners. Switzerland international Johan Manzambi caught the eye against Spurs, the 20-year-old took three shots in the box, one of which was classified as a big chance and also created a big chance. He notched an xFPL score of 9.2 and at just £5.9m he could be a great differential for the coming weeks.
The expected FPL points (xFPL) model estimates how many points a player’s performance was likely to produce. The calculation uses underlying data including expected goals, expected assists, expected clean sheets, appearance points and projected bonus points.
It is best used to assess the quality of a player’s performance rather than simply looking at his final FPL score.

Ezri Konsa continues to be popular despite notching just 1 FPL point against Brighton. The England international occupies five of the top 10 defender transfer combinations with Vitalii Mykolenko, Maxim De Cuyper, Leif Davis and Lewis Hall also popular.
Manchester United's defensive pair of Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire are seeing plenty of sales as is the injured Ben White.
Charalampos Kostoulas has notched consecutive double digit hauls and is a popular target going into Gameweek 5. His numbers are compared to some of the other forwards around his price range using the Fix Comparison Matrix.
As the numbers above show, the Greek international is very much holding his own compared to his counterparts.
He is the top scoring FPL budget forward and he is the only one to notch more than one FPL assist (three).
When it comes to shot volume (13), he is only behind Thierno Barry (17) but has managed the same number of shots on target (five) as the Everton Forward.
Meanwhile, he also has healthy big chance numbers with five in as many matches, only Barry (eight) and Calvert-Lewin have more (six) in the comparison.
