Top Five Key Players for Fantasy Premier League 2025/26 Gameweek 24

Welcome to our Fantasy Premier League (FPL) guide for Gameweek 23!

Each week, we’ll highlight the top picks to help you make the smartest moves for your FPL team.

FPL Headliner: Erling Haaland (tot)

Haaland was rested for Man City's fixture against Wolves over the weekend but the Norwegian international is expected to slot back into their starting lineup for their trip to North London.

As shown in the image below from our Opta Stats Sandbox, despite just one goal over the last six Gameweeks, Haaland's underlying numbers have remained strong with only Watkins and Raúl (20 each) attempting more shots than his 19 amongst forwards

Meanwhile, only Watkins (4.92) and Thiago (5.21) have racked up a higher 'Expected Goals' (xG) tally than his 3.32.

Man City have scored just six goals over the last six gameweeks (15th), but the Cityzens are ranked seventh for shots (83) and eighth for xG (10.51).

Their hosts Spurs have conceded eight goals over the same period (12th) and have kept two clean sheets. The North London side are ranked sixth for shots conceded (69) and seventh for 'Expected Goals Conceded' (xGC) (8.50).

According to our Predicted Points & Stats tool, Haaland is projected to score 5.2 points this Gameweek.

Top FPL Midfielder: Bruno Fernandes (FUL)

B.Fernandes has notched an assist in each of the games since Amorim's departure. The Portuguese international has been the league's most creative player this season with 64 attempted assists, 21 more than second-placed Saka.

He is also top for 'big chances' created (15) and 'Expected Assists' (xA) (8.21). It's worth mentioning most of these were when he operated in a deeper role rather than the no.10 position he is now occupying under Carrick.

Meanwhile, only Gakpo (52), Semenyo (53) and Cunha (59) have attempted more shots among midfielders this season. In terms of ‘big chances’, only Schade (13) and Mbeumo (14) rank higher than his 11.

Transfer Activity for Fantasy Premier League 2025/26 Gameweek 24

Man United have scored 10 goals over the last six Gameweeks, only Brentford, Arsenal (11 each) and Bournemouth (12) have been more prolific. The Red Devils are ranked fourth for shots (91) and sixth for xG (11.21).

Their visitors Fulham have conceded six goals over the same period (second) but have kept only one clean sheet. The Cottagers are ranked 11th for shots in the box conceded (54) and 14th for xGC (11.21).

According to our Predicted Points & Stats tool, B.Fernandes is projected to score 5.0 points this Gameweek.

Best FPL Forward: Francisco Evanilson de Lima Barbosa (wol)

Evanilson has found the back of the net three times over the last six Gameweeks, only Barry (four), Thiago and Watkins (five each) have been more prolific amongst forwards over that period.

As shown in the image below from our Opta Stats Sandbox, he is ranked sixth for shots in the box (13) and fifth for xG (2.75). There is also a possibility that he might now be on spot-kick duties for the Cherries in the absence of first-choice takers Semenyo, Kluivert and Tavernier.

Bournemouth have scored 12 goals over the last six Gameweeks which is more than any other side. The Cherries are ranked fifth for shots (86) and third for xG (13.34).

Their hosts Wolves have conceded six goals over as many Gameweeks (second) and have kept two clean sheets. The Midlands side are ranked ninth for shots conceded (71) and second for xGC (5.89).

According to our Predicted Points & Stats tool, Evanilson is projected to score 4.1 points this Gameweek.

Top Mid-Priced Midfielder: Enzo Fernández (WHU)

Enzo's goal against Palace was his 10th goal involvement of the season (seven goals, three assists), only Chalobah (114) has more FPL points amongst Chelsea players than his 106.

As the below image from our Match Centre feature shows, over Chelsea's last five league matches he is top amongst their players for goals (three), xG (2.6), shots on target (four) and attempted assists (10).

Chelsea have scored 10 goals over the last six Gameweeks (fourth), the London side are ranked fourth for 'big chances' (18) and second for xG (13.74).

Their visitors West Ham have conceded 10 goals over the aforementioned period (19th) and have kept no clean sheets. The Hammers are ranked 16th for shots conceded (85) and 12th for xGC (9.99).

According to our Predicted Points & Stats tool, Enzo is projected to score 4.7 points this Gameweek.

Top Defensive Asset: Dan Ballard (BUR)

Ballard has scored twice for Sunderland this season and is joint-top for xG (3.34) amongst defenders. The Northern Ireland international is ranked third for shots in the box (19) and top for 'big chances' (eight).

Sunderland have conceded just nine goals at the Stadium of Light this season, only Man City and Arsenal (eight each) have been more frugal on home turf. The Black Cats are ranked 14th for shots conceded (133) and ninth for xGC (16.08) in home games.

Their visitors Burnley have scored six goals over the same period (15th), the Clarets are ranked 19th for shots in the box (38) and bottom for 'big chances' (six) and xG (5.16).
