As the below image shows, Haaland tops the Custom Stats xFPL table for Gameweek 6 with a score of 13.1. The Norwegian international was top for shots inside the box (seven) and 'big chances' (three).
Longstaff was the weekend’s most creative player, producing seven attempted assists, with two classified as 'big chances' created. He also had two shots in the box and finished with an xFPL score of 8.7.
Gyökeres managed six shots in the box, second only to Haaland’s seven. However, none of the Swedish international’s efforts were classified as 'big chances', leaving him with a low xFPL score of just 3.7.
Sarr marked his return to Palace’s starting lineup with a goal. The Senegalese international had three shots in the box, one of which was a 'big chance', and he also created a 'big chance'. That contributed to an impressive xFPL score of 9.7.
All three of Calvert-Lewin’s shots in the box were classified as 'big chances'. Priced at just £5.5m, the 28-year-old could emerge as an intriguing budget forward option, having registered an xFPL score of 6.2.
xFPL is calculated primarily using expected goals (xG), assists (xA), which combine as Fantasy Premier League (FPL) involvements (xG + xA = xI), as well as expected clean sheets (xCS). These numbers are a result of underlying statistics (i.e. shot type and location will give a probability of scoring = xG). xFPL is the combination of these statistics and factors in appearance and bonus points to give an overall expected FPL point score.
As shown in the below image from our Transfer Analytics feature, Haaland is currently the most transferred in player ahead of Gameweek 7 with nearly 500,000 FPL managers bringing him in at the time of writing.
Senesi remains the top-scoring defensive asset in the game and is the only player to have registered Defensive Contribution Points (DEFCON) in every match so far. The Cherries’ centre-back has already been brought in by nearly 300,000 FPL managers.
Guéhi picked up his third attacking return of the season with an assist against Liverpool. The England international is proving a popular transfer, with more than 250,000 FPL managers adding him to their squads.
Semenyo and Anthony also continue to attract interest after both found the net last weekend.
At the other end of the spectrum, Salah’s underwhelming start continued with a blank against Palace. The Egyptian international is now the most sold player, with almost 300,000 FPL managers moving him on.
Struggling forwards João Pedro and Wood have also been widely sold after consecutive blanks, while Chelsea’s defensive issues have placed both Chalobah and Cucurella firmly on the chopping block.
Looking at the Top 10 forward transfer combinations, Haaland and Gyökeres dominate the incomings once again, with Wood, Ekitiké, Watkins and Mateta making way.
Nine of the Top 10 Midfield transfer combinations involve selling a Liverpool asset with Gakpo and Salah being sold in droves. The Transfer targets are fairly scattered with Saka, Semenyo, Sarr, Anthony and Eze the most popular.
The Top 10 Defender transfer combinations are dominated by transfers in for Senesi, Guéhi and Gabriel. Cucurella, N. Williams, Virgil and Chalobah are some of the players making way.
Semenyo and Sarr both found the back of the net over the weekend with the pair scoring a combined seven goals this season.
As the above image from our Player Heatmaps feature shows, Semenyo has averaged 8.0 FPL points per game over the opening six matches, which is slightly ahead of Sarr's 7.3 FPL points per game. Both players' numbers are impressive considering their modest price tags.
Semenyo has the better shot volume with 2.00 shots in the box, compared to 1.57 for Sarr but the Senegalese international's attempts are of marginally better quality (0.57 vs 0.61 xG).
In terms of creativity, Semenyo has the edge with 1.50 attempted assists compared to just 0.52 for Sarr.
As the above image from our Fixture Difficulty Ratings shows, Palace are ranked 19th for 'Attack Difficulty' over the next three Gameweeks while Bournemouth are ranked 10th, which gives Semenyo the edge.
