With the Gameweek 4 deadline approaching, FPL managers are reshaping their squads based on form, fixtures and expected minutes.
Data from the Fantasy Football Fix Transfer Analytics tool reveals the most transferred-in and transferred-out players, as well as the direct transfer combinations proving most popular across the game.
Rogers, Gakpo and Palmer currently lead the transfers-in table, while Bruno Fernandes, O’Reilly and Szoboszlai are among the most-sold players.
Below, we examine the five most popular Gameweek 4 transfer combinations and whether the underlying numbers support each move.
Rogers is the most transferred-in player ahead of Gameweek 4, having been added by 675,756 managers. Gakpo is close behind with 612,358 transfers in, while Palmer has attracted 556,594 new owners.

Favourable Gameweek 4 fixtures appear to be driving these moves. Rogers and Palmer host Hull City, Gakpo and Isak face Fulham at home, while Konsa travels to Sunderland.
Bruno Fernandes is the most transferred-out player, with 437,954 sales ahead of a home meeting with Manchester City.
O’Reilly has been sold by 435,490 managers, while Szoboszlai, Mbeumo and Calvert-Lewin have also suffered more than 300,000 transfers out.

This is comfortably the most popular direct transfer ahead of Gameweek 4, accounting for 4.1% of the combinations tracked by the Transfer Analytics tool.
Palmer has registered 21 FPL points across his opening three matches, producing two goals, one assist and five shots on target. His xFPL score of 17.91 suggests his returns have broadly been supported by his underlying performances.
He is projected to score 6.0 points at home to Hull City and also has fixtures against Brentford and Bournemouth to come. Penalty duties further enhance his potential for explosive returns.
Fernandes has outscored Palmer with 27 points, but Manchester United now host Manchester City. His Gameweek 4 projection of 5.7 points is slightly lower than Palmer’s, while the fixture is likely to be the main reason behind his 437,954 transfers out.
It’s no surprise to see Palmer included in James Cooper’s Wildcard team.
The Elite Manager has made an impressive start to the 2026/27 season, sitting 5,980th overall as he targets an eighth top-10k finish.
Verdict: An understandable move for managers prioritising Palmer’s fixtures, although selling a player with 27 points from three Gameweeks is not completely risk-free.
Mbeumo to Rogers represents 2.6% of the transfer combinations recorded by the tool.
Rogers is the most-bought player in FPL this week, with 675,756 transfers in. The £7.6m midfielder has produced 19 points, two goals and one assist across the opening three Gameweeks.
His 17.97 xFPL indicates those returns are supported by the underlying data. A home fixture against Hull City is followed by matches against Brentford and Bournemouth which puts them ninth in the Fixture Planner for attacking difficulty, giving him one of the most appealing short-term schedules.
Mbeumo has delivered 21 points through two goals and an assist, but Manchester United’s meeting with Manchester City has prompted 317,664 managers to sell him.
Verdict: Rogers offers the stronger immediate fixture and is slightly cheaper, but Mbeumo’s early output means this is a move driven by schedule rather than poor form.
The third-most-popular combination is Calvert-Lewin to Wissa, accounting for 2.3% of the transfers analysed.
Wissa has collected 13 points through one goal and one assist. Newcastle travel to Leeds in Gameweek 4 before facing Hull City and Coventry, presenting an attractive run for the forward.
More than 406,000 managers have already brought him in, making him the seventh most transferred-in player this week.
Calvert-Lewin has scored 10 points and one goal across three appearances. His xFPL of 14.17 suggests he could easily have returned more, although two early yellow cards have slightly limited his output.
He hosts Newcastle next, but 313,024 managers have decided that Wissa’s upcoming schedule offers greater potential.

Verdict: A fixture-led move with clear short-term appeal, although Calvert-Lewin’s xFPL suggests sellers may be moving on just before his returns improve.
Shaw to Konsa accounts for 2.1% of the popular transfer combinations ahead of the deadline.
Konsa has attracted 421,612 new owners and travels to Sunderland in Gameweek 4. His £4.4m price also makes him a useful route for managers wanting to release money from their defence.
Shaw, meanwhile, faces Manchester City at Old Trafford. That difficult fixture appears to be encouraging managers to move towards a cheaper defender with a more favourable Gameweek 4 opponent.
Verdict: The fixture and potential saving favour Konsa, but managers should check the latest predicted line-ups and team news before committing.
Rogers features for a second time, with the move from Cherki accounting for 2.0% of the combinations tracked.
The immediate fixture swing is significant. Cherki travels to Manchester United, while Rogers hosts newly promoted Hull City.
Rogers has also offered greater early-season security and production, scoring 19 points from two goals and an assist. His favourable schedule extends beyond Gameweek 4, strengthening his appeal as more than a one-week transfer.
Cherki is among the eight most-sold players, with 282,063 managers moving him out ahead of the deadline.
Verdict: One of the clearest moves on the list. Rogers combines form, an attractive home fixture and encouraging underlying numbers.
Expected FPL points, shortened to xFPL, estimates how many Fantasy Premier League points a player’s underlying performances would normally be expected to produce.
Comparing a player’s actual score with their xFPL can provide additional context. A player scoring significantly more than expected may have benefited from unusually clinical finishing or bonus points, while someone underperforming their xFPL may have been unfortunate not to return more.
It should not be used in isolation, but it can help managers assess whether recent FPL returns are supported by the player’s performances.
The Transfer Analytics network demonstrates how heavily this week’s activity is concentrated around three players.
Palmer is the main premium target, with Fernandes and Mbeumo among the players being moved out for the Chelsea midfielder.
Rogers is attracting funds from several different midfielders, including Mbeumo, Fernandes, Cherki, Foden and Wirtz. Konsa is emerging as the leading defensive destination, particularly for owners of Shaw and Maguire.
That concentration creates a potential rank risk. Managers who avoid Palmer or Rogers could gain ground if the popular transfers fail, but strong returns from either player would make them difficult to ignore.
Rogers stands out as the leading transfer based on a combination of popularity, form, value and fixtures. His home meeting with Hull City and strong xFPL numbers make him an appealing medium-term selection.
Palmer is the premium alternative and potentially the best option for managers able to reach him without weakening the rest of their squad.
Wissa and Konsa offer lower-cost routes into favourable fixture runs, although Konsa’s expected minutes should be checked before the deadline.
