Niklas Zandén (currently top-200k), had a poor week with only 10 players on the pitch due to Alonso and Alexander-Arnold's omission from the starting line-ups. Unfortunately for Niklas, only Sánchez, Salah and Livramento delivered returns for his side. Pre-gameweek he said this in his Manager notes:

As the quote above highlights, he decided against using the Wildcard and chose to take a -4 hit instead. This also did not pay off for the four time Top-5k manager, with Alonso not featuring and Rüdiger not keeping a clean sheet. 

Kevin Gnapoor (currently Top-300k), had a decent week with returns from Sánchez, White, Salah and Jiménez. As he mentions in his Manager notes below, he did the Jota to Saka move with a view to raise cash to get a Man. City defender next gameweek. He has already used his first Wildcard so it is a very sensible move. 

The Elite XI's top ranking manager, Mr. Black (currently top-20k), also didn't have a very good week with his transfer of Shaw to Rüdiger not paying off and only Sánchez, White and Salah delivering returns. Mr Black has managed eight top-5k finishes over the years, showing it can happen to the very best Managers.
