Headliner – Bruno Fernandes (che, cry)

Having converted from the spot against Newcastle, Bruno Fernandes has scored in each of the last four gameweeks, where he has averaged 11.3 points per game (PPG) as per our Fix Heatmaps feature. No player in any position has taken more shots (15) or landed more shots on target (SoT) (eight) in that time, while only Raphinha (five) has created more big chances than his four. He has completed a league-best 109 passes in the final third, over that period. Man. Utd have scored 17 goals over the last six gameweeks and only Man. City (19) have scored more. Man. City (95) and Brighton (106) are the only teams to have taken more shots than their 93. Chelsea have posted good defensive numbers since Tuchel took over, conceding just two goals in the last six gameweeks. Only Man. City (21) have conceded fewer shots in the box (SiB) than the Blues (22), however, it is worth pointing out that Chelsea have only faced one side (Spurs) inside the top-10 since the German took charge (six league games). Palace are Chelsea’s second opponents, and their defensive numbers offer plenty of encouragement for Bruno returns. Only Newcastle (11), Everton, West Brom, Liverpool (all 12) and Southampton (22) have shipped more goals than the Eagles’ 10, while no team has conceded more SiB (72). Dominic Calvert-Lewin (SOU, wba)

After a short spell on the sidelines, Calvert-Lewin made his return at Anfield, where he came off the bench to win a late penalty. The Englishman has landed six SoT in the last four gameweeks, to rank just behind Bamford (seven) amongst forwards as per our Stats Sandbox feature. Only Diagne (five) has had more ‘big chances’ than his four, while only Maja (2.21) and Diagne (2.31) can better his 2.06 expected goals (xG) figure. Everton have scored nine goals over the last six gameweeks and only Sheff. Utd (12), Leeds (13), Man. Utd (17) and Man. City (19) have been more prolific. The Toffees are ranked eighth for ‘big chances’ (12) and 11th for SoT (24) over that period. Southampton have conceded 22 goals over the last six gameweeks, the most in the league. No team has allowed opponents more SoT (40) or ‘big chances’ (19). Everton turn their attentions to West Brom after the Saints, a side that have conceded 12 goals so far and only the Saints (22) have conceded more. Burnley (34), Leeds (37), Everton, Villa (both 37) and Southampton (40) are the only teams to have allowed opponents more SoT than the Baggies’ 33. Harry Kane (BUR, ful)

Kane has directly contributed to five goals in seven matches this calendar year (four goals, one assist), averaging 6.0 PPG. During that period (gameweeks 17 to 25), no Fantasy Premier League (FPL) forward has taken as many shots (27), while only Firmino, Bamford (each 21) and Watkins (22) can better his 17 SiB. The England captain has created three ‘big chances’, to rank joint-first with Bamford. He is the third most transferred in player this week as per our Transfer Stats feature. Spurs have scored just four goals over the last six gameweeks, the lowest in the league. They are ranked 16th for shots (58) and 14th for SoT (21) over that period. Burnley have conceded eight goals over the aforementioned period, keeping just two clean sheets. Leeds (99), Palace (102), Everton (105) and Villa (106) are the only sides to have allowed opponents more shots than the Clarets (91). Spurs will also meet Fulham, who have conceded just five goals over the last six gameweeks, though it is worth mentioning that only Sheff. Utd, Everton (each 14), Liverpool (15), Palace (17) and Southampton (19) have allowed opponents more ‘big chances’ than the Cottagers’ 12. Ilkay Gündogan (WHU, WOL)

Only Bruno Fernandes (45) has amassed more FPL points than Gündogan (43) in the last four gameweeks, where the German has racked up four goals and two assists. He ranks joint-first amongst midfielders with a total of 9 SiB, which is on par with Raphinha, Barnes and Loftus-Cheek. No player in any position has recorded a higher expected goals (xG) figure (3.43), while only Salah, Sterling and Diagne can equal his five ‘big chances’. He is owned by 86.7% of the top 1000 as per our FPL Statistics feature. Man. City have scored 19 goals over the last six gameweeks, more than any other side. The league leaders are also top for ‘big chances’ (19) while only Leeds (41) have landed more SoT than their 39. West Ham have conceded seven goals over the last six gameweeks, keeping just two clean sheets. The Hammers are ranked sixth for SoT conceded (21) and fifth for ‘big chances’ conceded (eight). Second up for City are Wolves who have conceded just three goals over the aforementioned period, only Chelsea and Man. City (each two) have conceded fewer. Nevertheless, the Midlands side are ranked eighth for SiB conceded (45) and sixth for ‘big chances’ conceded (10). Our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 10.8 for the German.

Lucas Digne (SOU, wba)

Digne has supplied two assists in the last four gameweeks, with only Shaw (four) providing more amongst defenders. Meanwhile, only Cresswell (three) has created more ‘big chances’ than his two, while only Shaw (14) and Cresswell (seven) can better his six successful crosses. No defender or teammate has taken as many as his six indirect free kicks. The Toffees are ranked fourth on our Fixture Analyzer for the next three gameweeks. Everton have conceded 12 goals over the last six gameweeks, only Southampton (22) have conceded more. Villa (106) are also the only team to have conceded more shots (105) than the Toffees over that period. However, their opponents attacking numbers offer plenty of hope for clean sheets. Southampton have scored just five goals over the last six gameweeks and only West Brom, Spurs and Brighton (all four) have scored fewer. The Saints are ranked 10th for SiB (46) and 11th for SoT (24). Their second opponents, West Brom, have scored just four goals over the same period, the lowest in the league. No team has landed fewer SoT (14) than the Baggies over that period.
