The first gameweek of the 2022/23 season is gone and Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers have been busy in the transfer market with over 1.5 million transfers in for the top-three targets; Haaland, Zinchenko and Mitrovic. The Norwegian international was top amongst all players for shots (five), shots in the box (SiB) (five) and 'big chances' (four) while Zinchenko was one of the more creative defenders with two chances created.
Kane, Jesus and Perisic are the players making way, selling Kane is understandable with Haaland facing Bournemouth in gameweek two but as the below image from our Fixture Planner shows, Arsenal have a great run of fixtures over the next three games and it is worth keeping faith in Jesus.
Looking at the image below from our Transfer Analytics feature, three of the top transfer combinations include players who made league debuts for their new clubs in gameweek one. So, perhaps managers are being drawn in by the “shiny new toy”. However, all three posted excellent numbers in the previous gameweek so the clamour is understandable.
There have already been price changes this week, as correctly predicted by our Price Change Predictor feature. Haaland, Mitrovic, Zinchenko, Martinelli and Kulusevski have all gone up by 0.1, and Kane has dropped by the same amount. Not having patience with Kane could come back to bite after a few gameweeks.
