NB: At the time of writing there are still fixtures to be played in Gameweek 19
The winter World Cup offered a brief respite (whether we liked it or not!) from FPL and gave managers an unusual distraction over the festive period. But behind the tournament in Qatar, the Premier League fixtures were piling up and waiting to explode – which they did on Boxing Day when Gameweek 17 kicked off and unleashed a torrent of 30 fixtures in just 11 days!
In this article, we catch up with Craig Reumert, one of the Elite XI managers who has enjoyed a good run of green arrows following FPL’s post-Christmas return. Will Gameweek 19 see an end to his green streak?
I’d really rather hoped to be able to shake things up when we came back from the World Cup, but with relatively uninteresting doubles (City aside) announced thus far, and few fixture swings to attack, I ended up with rather a template team come Gameweek 17. I’m relaxed about it [potential red arrow in Gameweek 19], as the margins are so fine thus far this season, and it seems clear that small differences (and luck) will make or break the season for myself and, probably, most of us.
We've helped over half-a-million people become better FPL managers.
