Defence

The Algorithm goes big at the back this week with Cancelo, Alexander-Arnold, R. James and Alonso all making the XI. The right-back duo of Alexander-Arnold and R. James are top for chances created amongst defenders over the last four gamweeks (with 11 each) while Cancelo is top for shots on target (SoT) (three).

Burnley have scored only six goals in away matches this season and with Gerrard's style of play encouraging his full-backs to bomb forward, Cash has prospects to deliver at both ends of the pitch

Salah is a popular captain option amongst our Elite XI and also the highest projected scorer as per our Fix Algorithm. The Egyptian King is top for shots (13), shots on target (SoT) (six) and 'big chances' (five) amongst midfielders over the last four gameweeks.

De Bruyne was top for shots (nine) and SoT (four) on his return to the side in gameweek 17 and only Foden created more chances (five) amongst Man. City players.

As the Stats Sandbox image below shows, Saka's opponents Leeds have allowed opposition teams 266 shots this season, only Newcastle (269) have fared worse.

Forwards

As the Stats Sandbox image above shows, over the last four gameweeks only Ronaldo (seven) has landed more SoT than Watkins (five) amongst forwards. The Villa striker is also second for expected goals (xG) (1.75). He would be a very shrewd acquisition given that he features tomorrow, and with the last minute cancellations it would be better to try and take advantage of points as early as possible.
