The gameweek 17 Algorithm XI goes big at the back again with Dias, Walker, Alexander-Arnold, James and Alonso all making the squad. As the above image from our Fix Algorithm shows, Man. City, Liverpool and Chelsea have the best probability of a clean sheet this week. Only Robertson (12) has attempted more assists than Alexander-Arnold (10) over the last four gameweeks while R. James is not too far behind with seven.
Southampton have several injuries to their squad and Palace have posted good defensive numbers. Only Spurs (one) have conceded fewer 'big chances' than the Eagles (two) but they have played two fewer matches.
The Liverpool midfield duo of Salah and Jota are owned by every single member of our Elite XI, with the Egyptian a popular captain option. The pair are also top for 'big chances' (Jota seven, Salah five) across the league over the last four gameweeks.
Mount has also been posting great numbers, only Gray (seven) and Roberts (eight) have landed more shots on target than Mount (six) over the last four gameweeks.
Watkins is the only forward pick for the Algorithm XI, and as the above image from our Match Stats feature shows, the forward is top amongst Villa players for goals (two), expected goals (1.0), shots on target (three) and attempted assists (six).
