Mohamed Salah (WBA)

Salah is leading the golden boot race with 13 goals this season, two ahead of Calvert-Lewin and Son (both 11). No midfielder has landed more shots on target (SoT) than the Egyptian (25) while only Son (12) has been afforded more ‘big chances’ than his 11. The Champions top the goal scoring charts this season with 36 goals and no team has taken more shots (217) or fashioned more ‘big chances’ (43). West Brom have conceded 29 goals this campaign and only Leeds (30) have been more porous. No team has conceded more SoT than the Baggies’ 88 while only Leeds (42) have afforded opponents more ‘big chances’ than their 38. Kevin De Bruyne (NEW)

De Bruyne has found the back of the net just twice this season but it has not been for want of trying, only Salah (47) has take more shots than the Belgian’s 42. The creativity numbers are where De Bruyne shines as usual and only B. Fernandes (41) and Grealish (43) have created more chances amongst midfielders than his 40. He also tops the table for ‘big chances’ created (10). Rested for their midweek cup game against Arsenal, he is rated at 98% to start as per our Predicted Lineups feature. Man. City have scored 19 goals this season and only trail Leeds (216) and Liverpool (217) for shots (205). Their total of 32 ‘big chances’ is only bettered by Man. Utd (34), Spurs, Chelsea (both 36) and Liverpool (43). Newcastle have conceded 22 goals this season and only Fulham (23), Palace (25), Sheff. Utd (25), West Brom (29) and Leeds (30) have shipped more. Meanwhile, Leeds (214), Sheff. Utd (217) and West Brom (224) are the only teams to have afforded opponents more shots than the Magpies’ 207. Sadio Mané (WBA)

Mané tops the table for shots (29) and shots in the box (SiB) amongst midfielders in home matches this season as per our Stats Sandbox feature. Only Salah (13) has landed more SoT than the Senegalese’s 11 on home turf, while only Jota (five), Sterling and Salah (both six) have been afforded more ‘big chances’ than his four. He has been more creative than Salah at Anfield, beating him for chances created with 14 to 11. Liverpool have scored 20 goals at home this season, more than any other side. They are top for shots (121), SoT (52) and ‘big chances’ (23) in home matches. West Brom have conceded 14 goals on their travels, keeping no clean sheets. Only Leeds (17) have been more porous on the road and are the only side to have allowed opponents more SoT (51) than the Baggies’ 41.
