GW12 Top Five Key Players

Fantasy Football Fix 17 Oct. 2022

Headliner - Mohamed Salah (WHU)

Salah showed glimpses of his old self against Man. City in gameweek 11 and capped it off with a well taken goal. As the below image from our Match Stats feature shows, over the last five matches the Egyptian international is top amongst Liverpool players for 'Expected Goals' (xG) (1.9) and second for shots on target (SoT) (three). Liverpool have scored six goals over as many gameweeks and are ranked fifth for shots in the box (SiB) (45) despite playing a game fewer than most teams. Their visitors West Ham have conceded five goals over the last six gameweeks and have kept just one clean sheet. The Hammers are ranked seventh for shots conceded (48) and ninth for SoT conceded (19). Our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 6.4 for Salah.

Harry Kane (mun)

Kane continued his scoring run with a penalty against Everton and over the last six gameweeks only Toney and Haaland (six each) have scored more goals amongst forwards than the England international (five). As the Stats Sandbox image shows, he only trails Haaland for SiB (15 to 20) while no forward has been afforded more 'big chances' than his six or created more chances (10). Spurs have scored 12 goals over the last six gameweeks and only Man. City (14) have been more prolific. No side has landed more SoT (34) than Spurs. Man. Utd have conceded eight goals over the last six gameweeks and have kept just one clean sheet. The Manchester side are ranked 10th for shots conceded (58) and sixth for 'big chances' conceded (seven). Our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 5.0 for Kane.

Leandro Trossard (NFO)

Trossard failed to add to his tally of four goals over the last six gameweeks and only Foden (five) has been more prolific amongst midfielders over that period. The Belgian international trails only H. Barnes (11), Saka (12), Bowen and Foden (each 13) for SiB (nine) and has been afforded more 'big chances' (five) than any other midfielder. As the below image from our FPL Statistics feature shows, he is owned by under 15% of the top 1000 and is a great differential option this week. Brighton have scored eight goals over the last six gameweeks with only Man. City (15) and Newcastle (16) fashioning more 'big chances' than the Seagulls (13). Their visitors Forest have conceded 12 goals over the same period and have kept no clean sheets. They are ranked 12th for shots conceded (61) and 10th for SoT conceded (21). Our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 4.8 for Trossard.
