Caveat - Picks are in the below format
Haaland has scored hattricks in his last three league matches at the Etihad making it nine goals in four home matches for the Norwegian international. He is ranked top amongst forwards for shots (19), shots on target (SoT) (10) and ‘big chances’ (seven) in home matches. He is also top for ‘big chances’ created (three). Man. City are also top for goals scored in home matches (16) and for ‘big chances’ (16). Only Arsenal (32) and Spurs (33) have landed more SoT in home games than the reigning Champions (30). Their visitors Southampton have conceded 13 goals and are the only team in the league yet to keep a clean sheet. The Saints are ranked 12th for both 'big chances' conceded (17) and SiB conceded (64). Our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 9.7 for Haaland.
Kane has blanked just once this season and is the league’s second highest scorer with seven goals. As the Stats Sandbox image below shows, his 27 shots is only bettered by Jesus (28), Mitrović (31) and Haaland (33) amongst forwards, while only Jesus (nine) and Haaland (15) have been afforded more ‘big chances’ than his eight. No forward has created more chances than the England international (16). Spurs (19) trail only Arsenal (20) and Man. City (29) for goals scored while only Man. City (53) have landed more SoT than their 50. Their hosts Brighton have a great defensive record with only eight goals conceded and three clean sheets. The Seagulls are ranked fifth for ‘big chances’ conceded (12) and fourth for SoT conceded (25) but it is worth mentioning that most of these games were under Potter and they look to be a more porous outfit under De Zerbi based on gameweek nine. This should be an open game and our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 4.4 for Kane.
