Fantasy Premier League Price Changes: Six Players See Values Adjusted

There were six price changes in Fantasy Premier League today, with no players rising in value while six experienced price drops.

Price Falls 📉

Antoine Semenyo - £7.7m

The Bournemouth midfielder has dropped £0.1m despite maintaining a hefty 50.7% ownership among FPL managers. Semenyo's recent form has been concerning, with just five points across his last three appearances. He was benched for the 2-2 draw against West Ham in Gameweek 12, before managing only one point in the 3-2 defeat to Sunderland and four points in Monday's disappointing 1-0 home loss to Everton.

The Cherries face a challenging run of fixtures ahead, starting with an away trip to Chelsea in Gameweek 15, followed by a home clash against Manchester United. Bournemouth then travel to Burnley before hosting Brighton, and conclude with another difficult fixture away to Chelsea in Gameweek 19.

Jean-Philippe Mateta - £8.4m

Liverpool's forward has seen his price reduced to £8.4m, with 12.5% of managers still holding onto the striker despite his lack of game time. Mateta has struggled for minutes under Arne Slot, featuring for just 73 minutes across his last three appearances. He managed only 35 minutes in the 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest, followed by 22 minutes in the 2-0 victory over West Ham, and most recently played just 16 minutes in the 1-1 draw with Sunderland.

Liverpool's upcoming fixtures present mixed opportunities, with an away trip to Leeds in Gameweek 15, followed by a home match against Brighton. They then face Tottenham away before hosting Wolves, and travel to Leeds again in Gameweek 19.

Low Ownership Price Falls 📉

Several players with minimal ownership have also experienced price drops:

Anthony (Burnley) - now £5.4m with 3.9% ownership Max Kilman (West Ham) - now £4.2m with just 0.2% ownership
Adama Traoré (Fulham) - now £5.1m with 0.1% ownership Josh Laurent (Burnley) - now £4.8m with 0.0% ownership

These budget options reflect the current struggles of their respective teams, with Burnley players particularly affected by their poor Championship form, while Kilman's minimal selection suggests West Ham's defensive issues have deterred FPL managers.

The absence of any price rises today indicates a cautious approach from the FPL community, with managers potentially holding fire ahead of the busy festive fixture period. Semenyo's price drop despite his high ownership suggests growing concerns about Bournemouth's attacking output, while Mateta's situation at Liverpool highlights the challenges facing rotation players at top clubs.
