Three Price Changes Rock Fantasy Premier League Market

There were three price changes in Fantasy Premier League today, with one player rising and two falling as managers continue to shuffle their squads ahead of the final gameweeks.

Price Rises ⬆️

Gyökeres Gains Ground at Arsenal

Viktor Gyökeres has risen to £9.0m following increased interest from FPL managers, with his ownership climbing to 15.4%. The Arsenal forward faces Burnley at home in Gameweek 37 before travelling to Crystal Palace in the final gameweek - two fixtures that could prove profitable for those backing the Swedish striker.

Gyökeres' recent form has been mixed across his last three appearances. He managed just 56 minutes as a substitute against Newcastle in Gameweek 34, earning a single point. However, he bounced back spectacularly against Fulham, starting and scoring in Arsenal's 3-0 victory while accumulating 16 points in 64 minutes. Most recently, he played the full 90 minutes in Arsenal's 1-0 win at West Ham but managed just two points despite the clean sheet victory.

Watkins Wobbles as Villa Struggle

Ollie Watkins has dropped to £8.7m despite maintaining 14.4% ownership among FPL managers. The Aston Villa striker faces a nightmare run-in with Liverpool away in Gameweek 37 followed by Manchester City at home in the final gameweek - two fixtures that make him a risky proposition for the season's climax.

Watkins' recent performances reflect Villa's inconsistent form. He managed just two points in 80 minutes during Villa's 1-0 defeat at Fulham in Gameweek 34. The England international was then benched for Villa's 2-1 home loss to Tottenham, playing only 30 minutes and earning a single point. However, he showed signs of recovery in Gameweek 36's 2-2 draw at Burnley, playing the full match and securing nine points despite the dropped points.

Gibbs-White's Injury Concerns Mount

Morgan Gibbs-White has fallen to £7.5m with ownership at 8.7%, but more concerning for potential investors is his current injury status. The Nottingham Forest midfielder is listed as doubtful with a facial injury and only a 50% chance of playing in upcoming fixtures.

When fit, Gibbs-White has shown his quality this season with 180 points accumulated. His recent form has been patchy, however. He excelled in Forest's 5-0 thrashing of Sunderland away in Gameweek 34, starting and earning 13 points. Against Chelsea away in Gameweek 35, he was benched and managed just four points in 21 minutes during Forest's impressive 3-1 victory. Most recently, he failed to feature in Forest's 1-1 home draw with Newcastle, earning zero points.

Forest face Manchester United away in Gameweek 37 before hosting Bournemouth in the final gameweek. These fixtures could be appealing if Gibbs-White recovers from his facial injury, but his current fitness concerns make him a risky transfer target.
