Fantasy Premier League managers woke up to seven price changes this morning, with the market showing clear signs of movement as we approach the busy festive period. The changes included three notable falls among popular players and four adjustments to lower-ownership assets.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has risen to £5.7m despite his low 3.9% ownership among FPL managers. The Leeds forward represents an interesting differential option as the Championship side continues their campaign.
Eberechi Eze has fallen to £7.7m following a disappointing spell that has seen his 18.2% ownership begin to waver. The Arsenal midfielder has managed just three points across his last three appearances, with limited minutes proving problematic for his FPL prospects.
Against Brentford in Gameweek 14, Eze was restricted to just 29 minutes as a substitute in Arsenal's 2-0 victory. His situation didn't improve against Aston Villa, where he started but was withdrawn at half-time during the 2-1 defeat. Most recently against Wolves, Eze managed 57 minutes in the 2-1 win but could only muster a single point.
Looking ahead, Eze faces a challenging fixture list with Arsenal set to host Everton before travelling to Brighton. The Gunners then welcome Aston Villa, visit Bournemouth, and face a daunting trip to Liverpool.
Yankuba Minteh has dropped to £6.1m, with his 7.2% ownership reflecting concerns about Brighton's attacking output. The midfielder has been a consistent starter but has struggled to deliver significant FPL returns.
In his last three outings, Minteh scored two points against Aston Villa in a thrilling 4-3 defeat, managed three points in the 1-1 draw with West Ham, and picked up two points in Brighton's 2-0 loss to Liverpool. Despite playing the full 90 minutes in two of these fixtures, his returns have been modest.
Brighton's upcoming fixtures present mixed opportunities, with a home clash against Sunderland followed by a trip to Arsenal. The Seagulls then host West Ham before facing Burnley and Manchester City.
Iliman Ndiaye has fallen to £6.3m, with his 6.1% ownership set to decline further due to his unavailability. The Everton midfielder is currently on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations from Gameweek 17 onwards, with no confirmed return date.
Before his departure, Ndiaye showed promising form with eight points against Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 15, contributing to Everton's 3-0 victory. He also managed three points in the 1-0 win over Bournemouth but could only secure two points in the 2-0 defeat to Chelsea.
Everton face Arsenal away before hosting Burnley, though Ndiaye's absence makes these fixtures irrelevant for FPL purposes until his return.
Several fringe players have also seen their values decrease. Burnley's Anthony has dropped to £5.2m with just 2.5% ownership, while Brentford's O.Dango has fallen to £6.0m with minimal 1.4% selection. Leeds midfielder Longstaff represents the lowest ownership casualty, falling to £4.8m with just 0.3% of managers holding him.
The price movements reflect the current market sentiment as managers look to optimise their squads for the demanding festive fixture schedule. With multiple gameweeks approaching rapidly, squad rotation and player availability will become increasingly crucial factors.
