After back-to-back league defeats, Liverpool will be eager to get their season back on track as they welcome rivals Manchester United to Anfield.
Salah may have blanked in his last two matches and has only two goals and two assists so far this season, but the numbers suggest a turnaround could be close. The Egyptian ranks third among midfielders for shots in the box (11) and also third for 'big chances' (4).
As shown in the image below from our Opta Stats Sandbox, only Wharton (5) has created more 'big chances' than Salah this season.
Liverpool have scored 13 goals this season — only Arsenal (14) and Man City (15) have been more prolific. The Reds also rank third for both total shots (103) and 'big chances' (19).
Their opponents, Man United, have conceded 11 goals (13th) and kept just one clean sheet. Defensively, the Red Devils are ranked fifth for shots in the box conceded (48) and 14th for expected goals conceded (xGC) at 10.98 — promising signs for Salah’s prospects.
According to our Predicted Points & Stats tool, Salah is projected to score 7.2 points this Gameweek.
Haaland’s underlying numbers remain unmatched across the league. The Norwegian leads all players for shots in the box (28), shots on target (14), 'big chances' (14), and expected goals (xG) with 6.99.
As shown in our Transfer Analytics feature, he’s currently the third most transferred-in player ahead of this Gameweek.
Man City have scored 15 goals so far, which is more than any other side. The Cityzens are ranked third for shots on target (32) and sixth for xG (12.45).
Their opponents Everton have conceded seven goals (seventh) and have kept two clean sheets. The Toffees are ranked 17th for shots conceded (93) and 15th for xGC (11.10).
Our Predicted Points & Stats tool currently projects a score of 6.9 points for Haaland.
Despite missing two games due to injury, Sarr still ranks 11th amongst midfielders for FPL points (36) and has so far notched three goals and one assist.
As shown in the above image from our Opta Stats Sandbox, Enzo (six) and Semenyo (seven) are the only midfielders to have been afforded more 'big chances' than his four. While only Salah (2.88), Enzo (3.42), B. Fernandes (3.65) and Semenyo (4.02) have racked up a higher xG tally than his 2.44.
Palace have only scored nine goals (eighth), but this has largely been due to poor finishing. No team has created more 'big chances' (26) than the Eagles, while only Liverpool (13.46), Arsenal (13.59), and Manchester United (15.02) have a higher expected goals (xG) tally than their 13.31.
Their visitors Bournemouth have conceded eight goals (ninth) and have kept three clean sheets. The Cherries are ranked fourth for shots conceded (71) and third for xGC (7.18).
Our Predicted Points & Stats tool currently projects a score of 4.3 points for Sarr.
West Ham will be searching for their first win under their new manager as they host Brentford at the London Stadium, and their talisman Bowen is likely to be key to their hopes of victory.
As the image from our Match Centre feature below shows, over their last five league games, Bowen ranks top among their players for goals (three) and shots on target (five), while only Ward-Prowse (seven) and Paquetá (10) have attempted more assists than his four.
West Ham have scored only six goals (16th), with only Nottingham Forest and Wolves (five each) faring worse. The Hammers rank 10th for shots on target (26) and 16th for expected goals (xG) with 7.58.
Their opponents, Brentford, have conceded 12 goals (16th) and kept just one clean sheet. The Bees rank 18th for shots conceded (95) and 17th for expected goals against (xGC) with 11.46.
Our Predicted Points & Stats tool currently projects a score of 4.2 points for Bowen.
Gabriel picked up a clean sheet, a bonus point, and DEFCON points against West Ham in Gameweek 7, which saw him rise to second in the overall defender rankings (47), with only Jurrien Timber (48) ahead of him.
The Brazilian international has earned DEFCON points in three of his seven appearances so far and has also accumulated five bonus points. Guéhi and Chalobah (three each) are the only defenders to have been afforded more 'big chances' than his three.
Arsenal boast the best defensive record in the division. The Gunners are top for goals conceded (three), shots in the box conceded (39), and expected goals against (xGC) with 4.90.
Their hosts, Fulham, have scored just eight goals (12th). The Cottagers rank 16th for shots on target (23) and 14th for expected goals (xG) with 7.86.
Our Predicted Points & Stats tool currently projects a 40% chance of an Arsenal clean sheet and a point score of 4.8 points for Gabriel.
