Top Five Key Players for Fantasy Premier League 2025/26 Gameweek 7

FPL Headliner: Erling Haaland (bre)

Haaland's brace against Burnley took him to eight goals for the season, four more than any other player. The Norwegian international is also top for shots in the box (27), 'big chances' (13) and 'Expected Goals' (xG) (6.65).

As the below image from our Player Heatmaps feature shows, he has averaged 10.3 FPL points per game this season.

Points Per game for Haaland

Man City have scored 14 goals, more than any other side. The Cityzens are ranked fourth for shots in the box (60) and second for xG (11.41).

Their hosts Brentford have conceded 11 goals (17th) and have kept just one clean sheet. The Bees are ranked 19th for both shots conceded (85) and 'Expected Goals Conceded' (10.43).

Top FPL Forward: Viktor Gyökeres (WHU)

Gyökeres has found the back of the net thrice this season with only Thiago (four) and Haaland (eight) faring better amongst forwards.

As shown in the below image from our Opta Stats Sandbox, Richarlison (14), Wood (16) and Haaland (27) are the only forwards to have attempted more shots in the box than his 13. While he is also fourth for both 'big chances' (four) and xG (2.73).

Arsenal have scored 12 goals with only Man City (14) faring better. The Gunners are ranked third for shots (86) and fourth for 'big chances' (15).

Their visitors West Ham have conceded 14 goals, more than any other side in the division. The Hammers are ranked 17th for shots conceded (77) and 16th for xGC (9.67).

Best Mid-Priced Midfielder: Antoine Semenyo (FUL)

Semenyo's goal against Leeds was his fourth of the campaign, with no midfielder more prolific than the Ghana international.

He is also top amongst midfielders for shots in the box (12) and 'big chances' (six), while only B. Fernandes (3.51) has racked up a higher xG tally than his 3.45.

As shown in the Transfer Analytics feature, he is currently the fourth most transferred-in player this week.

Transfer Activity for Fantasy Premier League 2025/26 Gameweek 7

Bournemouth have scored eight goals (eighth), the Cherries are ranked fourth for shots (80) and ninth for xG (8.44).

Their opponents Fulham have conceded eight goals (11th), the Cottagers are ranked ninth for both shots in the box conceded (44) and xGC (8.38).

Best Forward Pick: Jean-Philippe Mateta (eve)

Mateta has scored only two goals this season but his underlying numbers have been strong. As shown in the below image from our Opta Stats Sandbox, the French international is second for 'big chances' (seven) amongst forwards only to Haaland (13) and is also second for xG (3.78).

Palace have scored eight goals (eighth) but are top for 'big chances' (21) while only Man City (11.41) and Man United (13.29) have registered a higher xG tally than their 11.10.

Their hosts Everton have conceded six goals ( sixth) and have kept two clean sheets. The Toffees are ranked 13th for shots in the box conceded (47) and 14th for xGC (8.88).

Top Defensive Asset: Gabriel Magalhães (WHU)

Gabriel scored his first goal of the season against Newcastle, the Brazilian international scored three goals last season and was third for 'big chances' (eight) amongst defenders, with only Gvardiol and Muñoz (nine each) faring better.

Arsenal have conceded only three goals over the opening six Gameweeks, no side have conceded fewer. The Gunners are also top for shots in the box conceded (35) and xGC (3.24).

Their visitors West Ham have scored six goals (14th) and are ranked 12th for shots (65). The Hammers have struggled to create good scoring opportunities with only Burnley (six) and Wolves (four) creating fewer 'big chances' than their eight.
