With the international break drawing to a close, it’s time to look ahead to Gameweek 6.
In this blog, we use our Fixture Difficulty Ratings to identify the teams with the best and worst fixtures over the next six Gameweeks.
Several popular FPL picks face tougher schedules. Switching to differentials with more favourable fixtures could help managers gain an edge on their mini-league rivals.
As shown below in our Fixture Difficulty Ratings, Coventry rank top for fixtures over the next six Gameweeks. The promoted side host Newcastle, Fulham, Sunderland and Crystal Palace during that run.

While their attacking options have disappointed, budget defender Bobby Thomas could be worth a look. Our Stats Sandbox shows that no defender has attempted more shots than his 10.

Spurs currently sit bottom of the Premier League table, but their upcoming home fixtures offer a chance to turn things around. Coventry, Crystal Palace and Ipswich all visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the next six Gameweeks.
Jan Paul van Hecke has had more big chances (three) than any other Spurs player, highlighting his potential attacking threat.
Fulham are also searching for their first win under new manager Álvaro Arbeloa. However, the Cottagers face all three promoted teams in consecutive Gameweeks, making Josh King an appealing budget option for that spell.

As shown above in our Stats Sandbox, only Cole Palmer, Kevin Schade, Bukayo Saka (12 each) and Bryan Mbeumo (14) have attempted more shots in the box than the 19-year-old midfielder.
Bournemouth face tricky away trips to Chelsea and Manchester United over the next three Gameweeks. Their schedule then improves significantly, with Leeds, Ipswich and Nottingham Forest to come in Gameweeks 9–11.
Marcus Tavernier is worth monitoring: his eight shots on target rank second among midfielders, behind only Bukayo Saka (nine).

There is also potential value in defence. As shown above in our Stats Sandbox, new signing António Silva ranks fourth for Defensive Contributions (DEFCON).
At £5.0m, he could be a rotation option for managers with enough defensive cover to bench him in the tougher fixtures.
Crystal Palace also offer options worth considering. Tyrick Mitchell has already scored twice, while Ismaïla Sarr could appeal to managers seeking an attacking differential.
Manchester United rank sixth in our fixture ratings, with their home matches looking particularly appealing for Bruno Fernandes.

As shown above in our Player Heatmaps, Fernandes averaged 7.3 FPL points per home match last season.
Our Fixture Difficulty Ratings place Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Brentford, Brighton and Arsenal in the bottom five for fixtures over the next six Gameweeks.
With several popular FPL assets among these teams, managers may need to plan their transfers carefully.

As shown below in our Transfer Analytics tool, Dominik Szoboszlai is currently the second most-sold player ahead of Gameweek 6.
His lack of FPL returns, combined with Liverpool’s difficult upcoming fixtures, helps explain why managers are looking elsewhere.

Nottingham Forest still have appealing fixtures in the short term, facing Crystal Palace in Gameweek 6 and Ipswich in Gameweek 8.
However, Morgan Gibbs-White owners may want to plan an exit route as the schedule becomes more difficult beyond that.

Brighton present a dilemma. As shown above in our Transfer Analytics tool, Pascal Groß, Charalampos Kostoulas and Maxim De Cuyper account for three of the four most-bought players ahead of Gameweek 6.
However, the Seagulls travel to Sunderland, Liverpool and Manchester City over the next four Gameweeks. Managers buying into their strong early form should consider whether they are comfortable holding through that run.
Arsenal have the league’s best defence, but trips to Nottingham Forest, Liverpool and Newcastle over the next six Gameweeks could test their clean-sheet potential.
That schedule gives managers considering a defensive triple-up something to think about.
Tougher fixtures do not automatically make a player a sell. Pascal Groß, Bukayo Saka and Alexander Isak have all delivered plenty of FPL returns over the first five Gameweeks, leaving their owners with decisions to make.
The underlying numbers also offer reasons for patience:
Rather than making wholesale changes, managers could consider selectively moving to budget options at Fulham and Bournemouth as their fixtures improve.
Balancing form, fixtures and value will be key when planning transfers for Gameweeks 6–11.
