Ownership trends are one of the most important parts of Fantasy Premier League strategy, as they reveal which players are shaping the FPL template.
Using the Insight Live tool, we can see exactly which assets are the most popular across the game and among the top 100k ranked managers. These numbers highlight the players trusted most by engaged FPL managers, giving us a clear picture of the early-season favourites.
Here’s a breakdown of the Top 5 most owned players in FPL 2025/26, including their price, position, ownership levels, and key stats from the opening three Gameweeks.
João Pedro has been the standout forward so far, sitting two points ahead of Haaland (24) with 26 FPL points from his opening three matches, as highlighted in the Opta Stats Sandbox.
In just 253 minutes of action, he has already scored twice and provided two assists, while also collecting six bonus points.
His Bonus Points System (BPS) score of 107 is the highest among the top five players in this article, underlining his influence in Chelsea’s attack.
At £7.7m, his blend of consistent attacking returns and bonus point potential explains why he is comfortably the most owned player in Fantasy Premier League.
Salah remains a cornerstone of Fantasy Premier League squads despite his premium price tag. Across 269 minutes, he has registered one goal and one assist, contributing 16 FPL points so far.
Live Data, accessible to users via the player’s “i” button, shows that managers are beginning to lose some faith. On 31st August, his ownership stood at 54.3%, but transfers out suggest some are moving him on to free up funds for Haaland.
Salah’s taken 4 shots this season… fewer than Calafiori, Chalobah and even Gruda, who’s only played 41 minutes 😅 pic.twitter.com/h99xVUCH4l

By Salah’s own incredibly high standards, this could be seen as a slightly underwhelming start. The Liverpool talisman has taken just four shots so far, far fewer than we would normally expect.
However, he remains a trusted pick thanks to his reliability and captaincy potential. According to the Predicted Points & Stats tool, Salah is projected to score the most points of any player over the next five Gameweeks, with particularly strong forecasts in Gameweek 4 (Burnley), Gameweek 5 (Everton), and Gameweek 8 (Man United). For this reason, he continues to be one of the most owned assets in Fantasy Premier League.
The standout budget enabler this season has been Martin Dúbravka. Priced at just £4.0m, he has started every game for Burnley, playing 270 minutes across the opening three matches.
His single clean sheet so far has helped earn him 10 FPL points. While he may not be many managers’ first-choice goalkeeper each Gameweek, having a £4.0m option with guaranteed minutes provides a valuable safety net. As shown when he kept a clean sheet against Sunderland, he can be used in favourable fixtures, while his budget-friendly price makes him the perfect pick for freeing up funds elsewhere in Fantasy Premier League squads.
Reijnders has emerged as one of the best-value midfielders in Fantasy Premier League. In his first three matches for Manchester City, he has played 270 minutes, producing a goal, an assist, and a clean sheet for a total of 14 FPL points. However, both attacking returns came in Gameweek 1 against Wolves, and he has blanked in the two Gameweeks since — frustrating many of his new owners.
Looking at his Gameweek 2 and 3 stats via the Opta Heatmaps tool, his output has been limited: just two shots, generating a disappointing xG of 0.10, alongside two attempted assists for an xA of 0.22.
That said, it is worth noting City lost both matches (2-0 to Spurs and 2-1 to Brighton), which certainly impacted attacking output across the team. With Manchester United at home next and Burnley at home in Gameweek 6, managers — and Pep — will be hoping for a turnaround in fortunes.
At just £5.7m, Reijnders remains a budget-friendly route into the City midfield, which explains why he is owned by a higher percentage of top 100k managers compared to overall ownership.
Despite two disappointing Gameweeks, he looks like a strong hold and a player worth reassessing after the next favourable fixtures.
Kudus has quickly become a favourite among engaged Fantasy Premier League managers, with more than half of the top 100k squads selecting him.
Across 261 minutes, the Spurs midfielder has registered two assists and benefited from two clean sheets, earning 15 FPL points so far. While that isn’t a huge return, his potential looks far more exciting when considering the fixtures ahead.
Spurs sit top of the Fixture Planner for the next five Gameweeks, giving Kudus plenty of opportunities to deliver attacking returns.
At £6.6m, he represents excellent mid-priced value, particularly for managers looking to capitalise on Tottenham’s favourable run.
