Top Five Key Players for Fantasy Premier League 2025/26 Gameweek 28

FPL Headliner: Erling Haaland (lee)

Haaland has scored just twice over the last six Gameweeks but has also registered three assists, making him the fourth-highest scoring forward with 30 FPL points.

He has attempted nine shots in the box over that period, landed five on target and registered an 'Expected Goals' (xG) tally of 2.63.

As the below image from our Player Heatmaps feature shows, he has averaged 7.1 FPL points per game in away matches this season.

Man City have scored 11 goals over the last six Gameweeks, only Man United (12), Chelsea (13) and Arsenal (16) have been more prolific. The Cityzens are ranked seventh for shots in the box (51) and eighth for xG (9.97).

Their hosts Leeds have conceded nine goals over the aforementioned period (12th) and have kept just one clean sheet. The promoted side are ranked 12th for shots in the box conceded (52) and 15th for 'Expected Goals Conceded' (xGC) (11.31).

Top FPL Forward: Hugo Ekitiké (WHU)

Ekitiké has found the back of the net just twice over the last six Gameweeks but it has not been for want of trying. As shown in the image below from our Opta Stats Sandbox, the French international is top amongst forwards for shots (21), shots in the box (17), 'big chances' (nine) and xG (5.09), which indicates that a big haul could be around the corner.

Liverpool have scored 10 goals over the last six Gameweeks (fifth), the Merseyside outfit are ranked top for both shots (111) and xG (15.35).

Their visitors West Ham have conceded six goals over as many matches (fifth) and have kept two clean sheets. The Hammers are ranked 13th for shots conceded (79) and sixth for xGC (8.07).

According to our Predicted Points & Stats tool, Ekitiké is projected to score 5.5 points this Gameweek.

Best Budget Differential: Dango Ouattara (bur)

O.Dango has notched 25 FPL points over the last six Gameweeks despite playing just 396 minutes of a possible 540. The Burkina Faso international ranks second amongst midfielders for 'big chances' (five) over that period and seventh for xG (2.26).

He has also attempted eight assists and created three 'big chances' with only Jensen (five) faring better amongst Brentford players.

Brentford have scored five goals over the last six Gameweeks (16th), the Bees are ranked fifth for 'big chances' (18) and seventh for xG (10.46).

Their hosts Burnley have conceded 11 goals over the same period with only Newcastle (12) and Spurs (14) faring worse. The Clarets are ranked 18th for shots in the box conceded (104) and 16th for xGC (11.99).

Top FPL Midfielder: Harry Wilson (TOT)

Wilson's assist and Defensive Contribution Points (DEFCON) against Sunderland took him to 128 FPL points for the season, only Bruno G. (134), B.Fernandes (145), Rice (152) and Semenyo (157) have fared better amongst midfielders.

As the below image from our Match Centre feature shows, over Fulham's last five league matches the Welsh international is second amongst Fulham players for goals (one), shots on target (five) and attempted assists (six).

Their opponents Spurs have conceded 14 goals over the same timeframe, the most in the league. The North London side are bottom for both shots in the box conceded (105) and xGC (13.98).

Top Defensive Asset: Nico O'Reilly (lee)

O'Reilly's new midfield role has given him plenty of freedom to venture forward with three goals in his last two appearances. Over the last six Gameweeks he is fourth amongst defenders for shots (nine), second for xG (1.08) and joint-top for 'big chances' (two).

Man City have conceded just six goals over as many matches (fifth) and have kept two clean sheets. The Manchester side are ranked 11th for shots in the box conceded (51) and seventh for xGC (8.29).

Their hosts Leeds have scored eight goals over the same period (eighth), the Yorkshire side are ranked 15th for shots in the box (46) and ninth for xG (9.69).
