Top Five Key Players for Fantasy Premier League 2025/26 Gameweek 26

Each week, we’ll highlight the top picks to help you make the smartest moves for your FPL team.

FPL Headliner: Bruno Fernandes (whu)

B.Fernandes has racked up 42 FPL points (one goal, five assists) over the last six Gameweeks despite missing one game, no player has managed more across that period.

The Portuguese international is top for assists (five), chances created (23) and 'big chances' created (nine).

As the below image from our Transfer Analytics feature shows, he is currently the second-most transferred in player ahead of Gameweek 25.

Man United have scored 13 goals over the last six Gameweeks; no other team have scored more. The Red Devils are top for both shots (102) and shots in the box (65), while only Chelsea (24) have created more ‘big chances’ than their 24.

Their hosts, West Ham, have conceded 10 goals over the same period (14th) and have kept just one clean sheet. The Hammers rank 18th for shots conceded (84) and 11th for 'Expected Goals Conceded' (xGC) (9.97).

According to our Predicted Points & Stats tool, B.Fernandes is projected to score 5.5 points this Gameweek.

Top FPL Forward: Erling Haaland (FUL)

After three games without a goal, Haaland found the back of the net at Anfield and also notched an assist. As shown in the image below from our Opta Stats Sandbox the Norwegian international is still ranked top for shots (20) amongst all players over the last six Gameweeks.

Meanwhile, he has been afforded five 'big chances' with only Calvert-Lewin, Šeško, Ekitiké (six each) and Thiago (nine) faring better. He is also second for 'Expected Goals' (xG) (4.05).

Man City have scored eight goals over the last six Gameweeks (11th), the Manchester side are ranked second for shots in the box (64) and seventh for xG (10.68).

Their visitors Fulham have conceded 10 goals over the same timeframe (14th) and have kept no clean sheets. The Cottagers are ranked 15th for shots conceded (81) and 18th for xGC (12.00).

According to our Predicted Points & Stats tool, Haaland is projected to score 6.3 points this Gameweek.

Top Mid-Priced Midfielder: Declan Rice (bre/wol)

Rice has failed to register any FPL assists over the last six Gameweeks, but the England international still tops the midfielders for attempted assists (16) over that period. Only B. Fernandes (23) has fared better.

He is also ranked seventh for 'big chances' created (three) and seventh for 'Expected Assists' (xA) (1.86).

As the below image from our Player Heatmaps feature shows, he has averaged 6.8 FPL points per game in away games this season.

Arsenal have scored 12 goals over the last six Gameweeks (third), the Gunners are ranked third for shots in the box (58) and sixth for 'big chances' (15).

Their first opponents Brentford have conceded eight goals over the same period (seventh) and have kept two clean sheets. The Bees are ranked 15th for shots conceded (81) and 16th for xGC (10.38).

Their second opponents Wolves have also conceded eight goals over the same timeframe (seventh), the Midlands side are ranked eighth for shots in the box conceded (48) and fifth for xGC (8.05).

According to our Predicted Points & Stats tool, Rice is projected to score 8.4 points this Gameweek.

Best Budget Differential: Ismaïla Sarr (WOL)

Sarr has played just three games for Palace over the last six Gameweeks, but the Senegalese international has scored twice and trails only Palmer (five) for 'big chances' (four) amongst midfielders.

As shown in the image below from our Opta Stats Sandbox, he is also third for xG (2.48) despite playing just 268 minutes of a possible 540.

Palace have scored just four goals over the last six Gameweeks which is the fewest in the league. However, they are ranked 10th for 'big chances' (14) and ninth for xG (9.62).

Their visitors Wolves have conceded 20 goals in their 12 away matches this season (10th) and have kept no clean sheets on their travels. The Midlands side ranked 14th for shots conceded (176) and third for xGC (17.57) on their travels.

Top Defensive Asset: Gabriel Magalhães (bre/wol)

Gabriel has racked up 38 FPL points over the last six Gameweeks with a goal, four clean sheets, two bonus points and four Defensive Contribution (DEFCON) points.

He has had five attempts on goal across the aforementioned period, with only Strujik (three) afforded more than his two 'big chances' amongst defenders.

Arsenal have conceded just five goals over the last six Gameweeks (second) and have kept four clean sheets. The Gunners are ranked top for shots in the box conceded (17) and xGC (2.77).

Their first opponents Brentford have scored 11 goals over the same period (fifth), the Bees are ranked 10th for shots in the box (53) and second for xG (12.99).

Their second opponents Wolves have scored just five goals over the aforementioned period (18th), the Midlands side are ranked 16th for shots in the box (35) and 18th for xG (6.20).
