Top Five Key Players for Fantasy Premier League 2025/26 Gameweek 25

Each week, we’ll highlight the top picks to help you make the smartest moves for your FPL team.

FPL Headliner: Bruno Fernandes (TOT)

B.Fernandes has racked up five assists in his last four league outings and has accumulated 32 FPL points over that period.

Despite playing just 330 minutes of a possible 540 over the last six Gameweeks, he is top for chances created (17) and 'big chances' created (eight) across all positions.

As the below image from our Player Heatmaps feature shows, he has averaged 6.8 FPL points per game in home matches this season.

Man United have scored 12 goals over the last six Gameweeks, only Bournemouth and Arsenal (13) have been more prolific. The Red Devils are ranked third for shots (94) and sixth for 'Expected Goals' (xG) (11.62).

Their visitors Spurs have conceded 10 goals over the same period, only West Ham (12) and Burnley (13) have fared worse. The North London side are ranked 12th for shots in the box conceded (55) and sixth for 'Expected Goals Conceded' (xGC) (8.57).

According to our Predicted Points & Stats tool, B.Fernandes is projected to score 5.2 points this Gameweek.

Top FPL Forward: Hugo Ekitiké (MCI)

Ekitiké has played just 295 minutes over the last six Gameweeks due to a combination of injury and load management, but is still fifth amongst forwards for shots (16) and sixth for shots in the box (12).

As shown in the image below from our Opta Stats Sandbox, only Šeško, Watkins (seven each) and Thiago (eight) have been afforded more 'big chances' than his six. He is also ranked third for xG (3.92) with only Watkins (4.11) and Thiago (4.63) faring better.

Liverpool have scored nine goals over the last six Gameweeks (seventh), the Merseyside outfit are ranked top for shots (100) and second for xG (13.21).

Their visitors Man City have conceded six goals over as many Gameweeks (joint-first) and have kept two clean sheets. The Manchester side are ranked third for shots conceded (58) and eighth for xGC (10.18).

Top Mid-Priced Midfielder: Harry Wilson (EVE)

Wilson has racked up 31 FPL points over the last six Gameweeks with three goals and five bonus points.

As shown in the image below from our Opta Stats Sandbox, the Welsh international is ranked top for shots (20) and shots on target (eight) amongst midfielders over that period.

Fulham have also scored nine goals over the last six Gameweeks (seventh), the Cottagers are ranked ninth for shots (75) and 16th for xG (7.16).

Their visitors Everton have conceded seven goals over the same period (fifth) and have kept two clean sheets. The Toffees are ranked 18th for shots conceded (88) and eighth for xGC (9.57).

Best FPL Forward: João Pedro (wol)

João Pedro came off the bench against West Ham to score his third goal over the last six Gameweeks, the Brazilian international has quickly emerged as Rosenior's first choice centre-forward and is second amongst Chelsea players for 'big chances' (three).

Meanwhile, only Enzo (nine) and Delap (12) have attempted more shots in the box than his seven.

Chelsea have scored 12 goals over the last six Gameweeks (third), the London side are ranked second for 'big chances' (20) and top for xG (14.53).

Their hosts Wolves have conceded just six goals over the same period (joint-first) and have kept two clean sheets. The Midlands side are ranked fifth for shots conceded (66) and second for xGC (5.86).

According to our Predicted Points & Stats tool, João Pedro is projected to score 2.8 points this Gameweek.

Top Defensive Asset: Gabriel Magalhães (SUN)

FPL's top scoring defender Gabriel has racked up 47 points over the last six Gameweeks with two goals and four clean sheets, no defender has managed more.

The Brazilian international has been on the end of six 'big chances' this season, only J.Timber (seven) and Ballard (eight) have fared better.

Arsenal have conceded six goals over as many Gameweeks (joint-first) and have kept three clean sheets. The Gunners are top for shots in the box conceded (22) and xGC (5.74).

Their visitors Sunderland have scored seven goals over the same period (13th), the Black Cats are ranked 17th for both shots (65) and xG (7.11).
