Gameweek 6 is shaping up to be one of the busiest transfer windows of the season in Fantasy Premier League.
Over 865,000 managers have brought in Haaland, making him the most transferred-in player ahead of Burnley (H). At the same time, more than 500,000 have sold Ekitiké and 445,000 have shipped Salah, as managers reshuffle funds.
We’ve broken down the most popular transfer combinations among top managers, with stats and context to help you decide whether to follow the crowd or go your own way.
Haaland is once again the headline move. Despite being flagged with a minor injury (75% chance of playing), he’s scored 4 goals in his last 3 matches, picking up 31 FPL points and 9 bonus points. His xFPL of 29.88 backs up the eye test, and upcoming fixtures against Burnley, Brentford, and Everton make him irresistible.
This explains why he’s the single most transferred-in player this week, with 865,742 new owners, as shown in the Transfer Analytics tool.
By contrast, Watkins has managed just 6 points across his last 3 matches, registering only 1 shot on target. With Fulham, Burnley, and Spurs next, patience is wearing thin — and over 341,000 managers have already sold him.
This is one of the most eye-catching moves of the week. Semenyo has 20 points in his last 3 matches, delivering a goal, an assist, and excellent underlying numbers including 32 DEFCON. His next fixtures (Leeds, Fulham, Crystal Palace) offer real potential.
It’s no surprise that he’s the third most-bought player in FPL this week, with 531,238 transfers in.
Salah, meanwhile, continues to tick over with 17 points from his last 3 (1 goal, 1 assist), but his premium price and tougher fixtures (Palace, Chelsea, Man Utd) are pushing managers away. He’s the second most-sold player in the game, with 445,210 out, as shown in the Transfer Analytics tool.
In goal, managers are opting for Raya. Goalkeeper transfers aren't often so high in the Transfer Combinations data, so this shows just how many managers are likely on their Wildcard this week, including six of the Elite XI: Team Reveal managers.
With fixtures against Newcastle, West Ham, and Fulham, he looks the safer bet, having already kept 3 clean sheets and only conceding 2 goals this season.
Sánchez, on the other hand, has endured a nightmare run. A red card and just 5 points in his last 3 has seen patience snap. Over 422,000 managers have already moved him on, with Brighton (H) up next.
Another upgrade move with many managers eyeing up using the Triple Captain chip on the City forward.
Wood has blanked in 3 straight matches, totalling just 5 points despite a more respectable xFPL of 10.03. His next fixtures (Sunderland, Newcastle, Chelsea) don’t inspire confidence, especially with his minutes coming under serious threat as Igor Jesus scored a brace in Europe midweek.
That’s why he’s among the top 10 most-sold players this week, with 346,638 transfers out.
Once again, the default replacement is Haaland — reinforcing his status as the essential FPL pick with the Burnley fixture looking so tempting.
Budget options are gaining traction. Ndiaye has produced 18 points in his last 3 games, with strong defensive contributions (34 DEFCON) to go alongside attacking returns. Fixtures against West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Man City offer mixed potential, but his price and form are enough to tempt many.

This transfer is already among the top 10 most popular combinations in FPL, as managers use the Salah sale to redistribute funds.
The data makes the picture crystal clear:
Top managers are building around Haaland while freeing funds through the likes of Salah, Watkins, and Wood. If you’re planning your Gameweek 6 transfers, these trends are too big to ignore.
