Dan Bennett’s Gameweek 5 Wildcard

Dan explains what prompted his wildcard:

“The Joao Pedro potential injury news tipped me to activate the wildcard.”

His plans include captaincy options for the next two Gameweeks:

“I also wanted Haaland as captain this week and I’ve now got Saka in place if I want to captain him in Gameweek 6 at home to Leeds.”

Up front, he has an eye on short-term opportunities:

“The two cheap strikers in Wissa and Barry have good fixtures over the next two gameweeks, at which point I could switch back to Joao Pedro.”

Mark Mansfield’s Gameweek 5 Wildcard

Mark’s wildcard was already part of his plans:

“I'll be playing wildcard this week as planned so that I can get Haaland.”

His latest update highlights a decision that could reshape his attack and midfield:

“If Joao Pedro is out he won't make the Wildcard. I'll go for Wissa or Calvert-Lewin instead, and that brings Saka into contention.”

Which Players Do Both Wildcard Drafts Include?

Their current drafts share six players:

• Kinský (£4.5m)
• Calafiori (£5.8m)
• Gibbs-White (£8.0m)
• Palmer (£9.7m)
• Barry (£5.6m)
• Haaland (£15.6m)

Unsurprisingly, both also have the captain’s armband on Haaland.
