With Gameweek 4 fast approaching, Fantasy Premier League managers are reshaping their squads in response to injuries, poor form, and standout performers. Using data from the Transfer Analytics tool, we can see the most popular transfer combinations among top managers.
These moves reveal clear patterns in where the FPL community is investing and which players are losing favour. Below, we break down the Top FPL transfers for Gameweek 4 and highlight what makes them so popular.
Cunha (£8.0m) is flagged with a hamstring problem and only has a 75% chance of playing. Despite 5 shots on target, he has managed just 5 points from 211 minutes.

Semenyo (£7.4m) is in explosive form with 23 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and strong underlying data – including an xFPL of 23.43 and 20 defensive contributions (DEFCON). With fixtures against Brighton, Newcastle and Leeds, this is one of the most popular transfer trend for Gameweek 4.
Watkins (£8.9m) has underwhelmed, returning only 6 points despite playing every minute so far. His next fixtures (Everton, Sunderland, Fulham) aren’t bad, but many managers are moving on.
João Pedro (£7.7m) offers great value up front, scoring 26 points (2 goals, 2 assists) in just 253 minutes. With fixtures against Brentford, Manchester United and Brighton, he’s proving a smart pick.
His form has even earned him a place in Philman’s latest Wildcard draft — the 9× top 10k finisher has paired him in a powerful front three alongside Haaland and Isak. You can view the full draft on the Elite XI: Team Reveal tool.
Palmer (£10.4m) is the most transferred-out player this week, with close to one million managers moving him on. A groin injury and no confirmed return date make him a risky hold, and even if he does recover, Chelsea’s midweek clash with Bayern Munich in the Champions League could see his minutes reduced in Gameweek 4.
Semenyo is the standout budget replacement, combining strong form with favourable fixtures.
Above are the Top 10 Transfer Combinations, updated in real time as new data comes through via the Transfer Analytics tool.
Despite Manchester City’s tricky start to the season, Haaland (£14.1m) is becoming increasingly popular. He has already returned 24 points from 3 goals and is backed by an impressive xFPL of 24.73.
Many managers are upgrading from Watkins, who has underwhelmed so far. That said, Aston Villa do have a favourable fixture run according to the Fixture Planner, facing newly promoted Sunderland and Burnley in the next four.
For some, this transfer is also about long-term captaincy planning. In Gameweek 6, Haaland faces Burnley while Salah travels to Crystal Palace — a key factor for those not yet on the Norwegian.
Another popular transfer is Cunha ➝ Gakpo. The Liverpool midfielder (£7.7m) has started strongly, returning 20 points with 1 goal and 2 assists. Upcoming fixtures against Burnley, Everton and Crystal Palace only increase his appeal.
As highlighted in the Transfer Analytics tool, Cunha is now the second most sold player with over 468,000 transfers out. He even dropped in price last night — something managers can continue to monitor using the Price Change Predictor tool.
Data from the Transfer Analytics tool makes it clear: top managers are rapidly moving away from underperformers and injured players like Cunha, Watkins and Palmer, while targeting in-form assets such as Semenyo, João Pedro, Gakpo and, of course, Haaland.
