As the below image shows, Gibbs-White tops the Custom Stats xFPL table for Gameweek 37 so far with a score of 11.0. The 25-year-old took two shots in the box, both of which were classified as 'big chances' by Opta and also created a 'big chance'.
No player took more shots (5) or shots in the box (4) than Raúl. He hit the target twice, with one effort classified as a 'big chance', earning him an xFPL score of 7.6.
Watkins was a popular captaincy pick heading into the weekend but disappointed managers with just an assist. He registered three shots in the box—one deemed a 'big chance'—and created only one chance, finishing with an xFPL score of 4.3.
Wissa was joint-top for 'big chances' (2). Both of his shots in the box were considered 'big chances', and his only attempted assist was converted by Mbeumo, resulting in an xFPL score of 10.6.
Bowen continued his strong form, scoring his fourth goal in the last five Gameweeks to bring his total to 44 FPL points in that span. However, none of his three shots in the box were classed as 'big chances', and only one was on target, leaving him with a modest xFPL score of 4.1.
xFPL is calculated primarily using expected goals (xG), assists (xA), which combine as Fantasy Premier League (FPL) involvements (xG + xA = xI), as well as expected clean sheets (xCS). These numbers are a result of underlying statistics (i.e. shot type and location will give a probability of scoring = xG). xFPL is the combination of these statistics and factors in appearance and bonus points to give an overall expected FPL point score.
As shown in the below image from our Transfer Analytics feature, Bowen is currently the most transferred in player with nearly 50,000 FPL managers bringing him in at the time of writing.
Despite back-to-back blanks, Saka remains the second most transferred-in player this week. Evanilson is also attracting interest, with a favourable final-day fixture against already-relegated Leicester.
Watkins continues to be a popular pick, with Aston Villa needing a win to secure Champions League football. Raya also retains interest as he remains in contention for the Golden Glove.
Isak missed Newcastle’s clash with Arsenal and is now a doubt for Gameweek 38. As a result, around 32,000 FPL managers have transferred out the Swedish striker.
Marmoush, Robinson, Wood, and Bruno Fernandes have also seen their FPL form dip in recent weeks, leading to mass sales.
As the below image from the Top 10 Forward transfer combinations shows, bringing Evanilson in is the priority with the Cherries' forward occupying five of the top six forward transfers. Marmoush, Wood, Vardy, Isak, Mateta and Beto are the players being sold.
The Top 10 Midfield transfer combinations are more spread out with Saka, Bowen and Kluivert the main transfer targets. Palace's final day matchup at Anfield has caused several FPL managers to part ways with Eze and Sarr. While Palmer and De Bruyne are being sold as well, despite them having huge motivation to achieve Champions League football on the final day.
The Top 10 Defender transfer combinations is very spread out with most FPL managers choosing to focus their transfers in attack. The Bournemouth duo of Kerkez and Huijsen are the most popular along with Wan-Bissaka.
Bowen and Saka are currently the two most bought players going into Gameweek 38 with both West Ham and Arsenal away to two of the relegated teams - Ipswich and Southampton.
As the above image from our Player Heatmaps feature shows, while Bowen has racked up 44 FPL points over the last six Gameweeks, Saka has struggled to deliver any returns with just nine FPL points. However, it is worth mentioning that the latter's gametime was largely managed due to Champions League involvement.
Despite fewer minutes, Saka is ahead of Bowen for shots in the box (10 vs 12) and 'Expected Goals' (xG) (1.74 vs 2.06) indicating that he has been unlucky not to find the back of the net.
The Arsenal man is significantly ahead for creativity as well, with 13 attempted assists compared to just four for Bowen.
If both players get similar minutes on the final day, Saka—who is likely to have lower ownership—could be a strong differential option for Gameweek 38.
