Top FPL Transfer Trends for Gameweek 32: Most Popular Moves Across Fantasy Premier League

The latest data from the Transfer Analytics tool shows where Fantasy Premier League managers are moving ahead of FPL Gameweek 32.

The most popular transfers suggest a clear shift in strategy. Managers are moving away from underperforming assets such as Ekitiké and Chalobah, while backing players like Welbeck, B. Fernandes, Van Hecke and Haaland, who either double in Gameweek 33 or offer strong captaincy appeal for the run-in.

These trends could suggest that plenty of FPL managers are playing their Wildcard.

Most transferred-in players for FPL Gameweek 32

Welbeck is currently the most transferred-in player for Gameweek 32 according to the Transfer Analytics tool, with 218,346 new owners ahead of Burnley away.

Bruno Fernandes is not far behind on 185,532 transfers in before Manchester United’s home match against Leeds. Van Hecke has also been heavily backed, with 183,374 managers bringing him in ahead of Brighton’s trip to Burnley.

O’Reilly, Haaland, Gordon, Semenyo and Tarkowski also feature prominently in the top transfers in list. That shows FPL managers are targeting a mix of attacking upside, value picks and players with strong fixtures.

Most transferred-out players for FPL Gameweek 32

On the other side, Chalobah is the most sold player of the Gameweek according to the Transfer Analytics tool, with 328,364 transfers out before Chelsea face Manchester City at home.

Ekitiké is also being sold heavily, with 239,960 managers moving him on ahead of Fulham at home, with the risk of rotation likely a factor.

Enzo, João Pedro, Mbeumo, J. Timber, Rogers and Thiago also appear among the most transferred-out players as managers look to reset their squads for the run-in.

Thiago's inclusion is particularly striking. The Brentford forward is the second-highest scoring player in the league and has a home fixture against Everton, which strongly suggests that a large number of managers may be playing their Wildcard.

Top FPL transfer combinations in Gameweek 32

The transfer combinations, as shown in the Transfer Analytics tool, offer even more insight into how Fantasy Premier League managers are restructuring their teams.

Top 10 transfer combinations in FPL

Transfer 1: Haaland Replaces Ekitiké

City’s Premium Forward Is Back on the Radar

Erling Haaland remains one of the standout premium options in FPL, despite returning just four points from his last two fixtures.

Double Gameweek Appeal

Haaland’s appeal increases further with Manchester City set for a Double Gameweek 33 against Arsenal and Burnley, which is likely to make him the standout captaincy option for the Gameweek. The upside is obvious, although managers will also need to plan for Manchester City blanking in Gameweek 34.

Transfer 2: Welbeck Replaces Ekitiké

Brighton’s Budget Forward Attracts Attention

Danny Welbeck has emerged as a popular budget forward option, with over 210,000 managers bringing him in. The Brighton striker has been in strong form over his last three fixtures, scoring two goals and collecting 15 points despite playing just 193 minutes.

Welbeck’s Fixture Appeal

Brighton face Burnley in Gameweek 32 before a Double Gameweek 33 against Tottenham and Chelsea. However, managers should also keep in mind that Brighton blank in Gameweek 34, so any move for Welbeck needs to be part of a wider plan.

He recently featured in our Top 5 Wildcard Differentials article, although judging by his transfer activity, he may not remain a differential for much longer.

Why Managers Are Selling Ekitiké

Ekitiké has disappointed in recent weeks, returning just four points from 124 minutes across his last three matches. He has failed to register a goal or assist in that spell, and an xFPL of 8.44 suggests the underlying numbers have not been especially convincing either. With Liverpool facing PSG on either side of Gameweek 32 in the Champions League, there may also be concerns over rotation.

Transfer 3: Bowen Replaces Ekitiké

Bowen Offers a Reliable Alternative

Jarrod Bowen has quietly put together a solid run, returning 12 points from his last three games, including two assists. His role on set plays and his ability to contribute in multiple ways make him an appealing option for managers looking to move away from Ekitiké.

Steady Fixtures for the Run-In

Unlike some of the other popular transfers, Bowen offers stability rather than a Double Gameweek. West Ham face Wolves next, and his appeal may lie in offering managers a reliable route into a team with decent fixtures and no immediate blank-related complications, particularly for those taking a different chip strategy to Wildcard 32, Bench Boost 33 and Free Hit 34.

Transfer 4: Semenyo Replaces Rogers

Semenyo’s Form Continues to Impress

Antoine Semenyo has delivered excellent value in recent weeks, with 17 points from his last three matches, including two goals and a clean sheet. With a Double Gameweek on the horizon, it is easy to see why he has caught the attention of FPL managers.

Why Rogers Is Being Moved On

Morgan Rogers has managed 11 points across his last three appearances despite playing 347 minutes. While he has still shown some attacking threat, the lack of a bigger return has made him an easier sell for managers chasing form and upside. Semenyo’s stronger recent output makes him an attractive alternative.

What these FPL transfer trends mean for Gameweek 32

The standout takeaway from the Transfer Analytics data is that FPL managers are making aggressive moves ahead of Gameweek 32.

Welbeck, Bruno Fernandes and Van Hecke are among the biggest winners, while Ekitiké and Chalobah are being moved out rapidly. Haaland’s place near the top of the combinations table also suggests many managers are still willing to restructure their squads to bring him back in ahead of the double Gameweek.

For Fantasy Premier League managers, these trends can be useful for spotting momentum in the market, identifying potential bandwagons and understanding where popular strategy is shifting before the deadline.
