As shown in the image below, Eze tops the Custom Stats xFPL table for Gameweek 27 with a score of 12.2. The 27-year-old took three shots in the box, two of which were classified as 'big chances' by Opta and also created a 'big chance'.

No player attempted more shots (five) or shots in the box (five) than Saka, the England international was afforded two 'big chances' and also attempted two assists. His FPL backers were unlucky not to get any rewards, as his xFPL score of 7.4 shows.
Bowen and Szoboszlai were joint-top for attempted assists with five each, the England international also attempted two shots in the box compared to none for the latter which saw him notch a higher xFPL score (5.0 vs 3.7).
Palmer was a popular captaincy pick, but the 23-year-old attempted just two shots inside the box and had just one 'big chance' involvement, leading to an xFPL score of 6.0.
Iwobi could prove a viable alternative to Wilson ahead of Fulham's good run of fixtures. The Nigerian international attempted two shots in the box, one of which was a 'big chance' and also attempted three assists. He registered an xFPL score of 8.8, significantly ahead of Wilson's 4.7.
xFPL is calculated primarily using expected goals (xG) and expected assists (xA), which combine to form expected FPL involvements (xG + xA = xI), along with expected clean sheets (xCS). These values are based on underlying statistics — for example, shot type and location determine the probability of scoring, which contributes to xG. xFPL then combines these metrics, factoring in appearance and bonus points to produce an overall expected FPL point score.
As shown in the Transfer Analytics tool below, O'Reilly is the most transferred-in player ahead of Gameweek 28, with over 300,000 FPL managers adding him to their teams at the time of writing.

Virgil has bagged double-digit hauls in consecutive games and is the second most transferred-in, while Szoboszlai and Thiago are also popular despite no FPL returns in Gameweek 28.
A possible blank in Gameweek 31 is not enough to deter FPL managers from Semenyo, the Ghanaian international is the fifth most transferred in asset.
Chelsea assets are on the chopping block with Enzo, Chalobah and João Pedro featuring in the five most transferred out players. The Blues' travel to Arsenal, Villa and Everton over the next four Gameweeks which explains the exodus.
Bruno G.'s injury has seen him transferred out by over 100,000 FPL managers, while a similar number have also parted ways with J.Timber despite his assist against Spurs.
Looking at the top 10 forward transfer combinations, João Pedro → Thiago (29.7%) is the most popular transfer combination by some distance across all positions.

João Pedro → Ekitiké (11.0%) is also popular ahead of Liverpool's great fixture run. Thiago and Ekitiké feature in all 10 of the forward transfer combinations with Bowen, Kroupi.Jr, Calvert Lewin and Evanilson some of the players making way.
The top 10 midfield transfer combinations are more spread out this week — but Enzo still dominates, featuring in six of the top 10 moves. O.Dango and Wilson are the most popular replacements but Semenyo, Szoboszlai, Rayan and Wirtz are also finding plenty of buyers.
The top 10 defender transfer combinations all involve buying one of Virgil, O'Reilly or Hill. Chalobah and J.Timber are on the chopping block while Dorgu, Muñoz, Guéhi and Gabriel are also being sold.
Wilson and O.Dango are among the most popular transfers this week, as Fulham and Brentford both begin an appealing run of fixtures for FPL managers.

As the above image from our Player Heatmaps feature shows, both players have played a similar number of minutes over the last four Gameweeks. But O.Dango has scored nine more FPL points at an average of 5.8 FPL points per game.

O.Dango has scored two goals compared to none for Wilson over the aforementioned period and although they have taken the same number of shots (four each), the former is significantly ahead for 'Expected Goals' (xG) (0.29 vs 1.49) which indicates that he is being afforded better quality chances.
Wilson would be expected to have the edge creatively, but O.Dango edges it here as well. The Burkina Faso international has attempted more assists (four vs five) and created more 'big chances' (two vs three).
Based on the data, O.Dango just about has the edge and also features in this week’s Top 5 Differentials article — but both remain strong options.
