As shown in the image below, Palmer tops the Custom Stats xFPL table for Gameweek 26 so far with a score of 18.3. The England international took three shots in the box, two of which were classified as 'big chances' by Opta and also created two 'big chances'.

No player attempted more shots (seven) or shots in the box (seven) than João Pedro, the Brazilian international was also top for 'big chances' (three) but landed just one attempt on target. He notched an xFPL score of 9.9 with only Virgil (10.2), Ndiaye (10.2) and Palmer (18.3) faring better.
Muñoz was joint-top for attempted assists (five), the Colombian international also attempted two shots in the box and his xFPL score of 6.7 indicates that his owners were unfortunate not to get any attacking returns.
Similarly, the popular Enzo also created five chances and attempted three shots. However, the 25-year-old did not have any 'big chance' involvements which meant a low xFPL score of just 4.6.
Semenyo was at his clinical best, the Ghanaian international attempted just one shot and one assist but both of these were classified as 'big chance' involvements by Opta which led to an xFPL score of 9.7.
xFPL is calculated primarily using expected goals (xG) and expected assists (xA), which combine to form expected FPL involvements (xG + xA = xI), along with expected clean sheets (xCS). These values are based on underlying statistics — for example, shot type and location determine the probability of scoring, which contributes to xG. xFPL then combines these metrics, factoring in appearance and bonus points to produce an overall expected FPL point score.
As shown in the Transfer Analytics tool below, Palmer is the most transferred-in player ahead of Gameweek 27, with over 100,000 FPL managers adding him to their teams at the time of writing.

João Pedro has now notched FPL attacking returns for five consecutive Gameweeks and has also seen over 100,000 transfers in. Meanwhile, Semenyo and Rayan are popular acquisitions after their goals over the weekend, while budget defender Hill is also being bought after three weeks of consistent FPL returns.
The popular midfield trio of Enzo, Wilson and Rice are being sold in droves after disappointing FPL returns recently. James and Tarkowski are the most sold defenders.
Looking at the top 10 forward transfer combinations, João Pedro is the most popular transfer target with Thiago and Kroupi.Jr also popular. Ekitiké, Bowen, Calvert-Lewin, Gyökeres and Evanilson are the forwards making way.

As the top 10 midfield transfer combinations image above shows, Enzo → Palmer (9.7%) is the most popular transfer combination across all positions with no combination crossing the 10% mark.
Eight of the top 10 midfield transfer combinations involve selling one of Enzo, Rice or Wilson while Bruno G. and Mbeumo are the other midfielders being sold. Palmer and Semenyo continue to be the most popular targets but Rogers, O.Dango and Rayan are popular as well.
Nine of the top 10 defender transfer combinations involve bringing in Hill with Muñoz the other popular option. Dorgu, Tarkowski, J.Timber, Chalobah, Keane, Collins, Thiaw and Estève are all seeing sales.
Semenyo has hit the ground running at Man City with three goals and an assist over the last five Gameweeks. Wirtz has also impressed over that period with two goals and an assist. With both midfielders entering a great run of fixtures, FPL managers are faced with a difficult decision.

As the above image from our Player Heatmaps feature shows, both players have played a similar number of minutes over the last five Gameweeks and scored a similar number of FPL points with Semenyo's 33 slightly edging out the German international's 29.

The above numbers make for interesting reading. Semenyo (three) has scored more goals than Wirtz (two) but the German international is ahead for shots (13), shots in the box (seven vs nine) and 'Expected Goals' (xG) (1.64 vs 2.33).
Despite registering the same number of assists (one), the German is ahead for attempted assists (four vs 10), 'big chances' created (one vs two) and 'Expected Assists' (xA) (0.58 vs 1.77) as well.

As the above image from our Fixture Difficulty Ratings shows, Liverpool are ranked third for 'Attack Difficulty' over the next four Gameweeks while Man City are in fifth. However, the Manchester club are likely to have a blank in Gameweek 31 due to their participation in the Carabao Cup final, which might slightly tilt the scales in Wirtz' favour.
