As shown in the image below, B.Fernandes tops the Custom Stats xFPL table for Gameweek 15 with a score of 17.2. The Portuguese international took four shots in the box, two of which were classified as 'big chances' and also created another four 'big chances'

Cunha topped the Gameweek for total shots (eight) and shots in the box (five), but he hit the target with only two of them. That inefficiency kept his xFPL score to a relatively modest 8.1.
Cherki was the standout creator, producing six attempted assists — more than any other player. He also took two shots in the box, though none were classified as big chances, resulting in an xFPL score of 10.8.
Mbeumo led the way for shots on target (four). Two of his three shots in the box were big chances, and he also created three chances, earning an xFPL score of 10.5.
Foden extended his brilliant run with his fifth goal in three matches. He fired four shots in the box, two of them big chances, and added two attempted assists. His xFPL score of 8.4 ranked seventh for the Gameweek.
xFPL is calculated primarily using expected goals (xG) and expected assists (xA), which combine to form expected FPL involvements (xG + xA = xI), along with expected clean sheets (xCS). These values are based on underlying statistics — for example, shot type and location determine the probability of scoring, which contributes to xG. xFPL then combines these metrics, factoring in appearance and bonus points to produce an overall expected FPL point score.
As shown in the Transfer Analytics tool below, Foden is the most transferred-in player ahead of Gameweek 16, with over 700,000 FPL managers adding him to their teams at the time of writing.

Thiago’s recent blanks against Arsenal and Spurs haven’t discouraged FPL managers. The Brentford forward has still attracted over half a million transfers in.
Bruno G. and Dewsbury-Hall also continue to rise in popularity, while Cash — Aston Villa’s highest-scoring asset with 73 points — is gaining new owners after netting his third goal of the season.
On the other hand, Mbeumo’s goal against Wolves hasn’t been enough to maintain trust. Nearly half a million managers have sold the Cameroon international.
Other once-popular picks are also being moved on. Mateta, João Pedro and Semenyo have all failed to deliver recently, prompting sales, while Calafiori is being offloaded after collecting his fifth yellow card, ruling him out of the Wolves fixture.

Looking at the top 10 forward transfer combinations, Mateta → Thiago (33.5%) is the single most popular move across all positions, with João Pedro → Thiago (11.4%) in second. Budget forward Marc Guiu is also being widely sold as managers look to redistribute funds elsewhere in their squads.
In midfield, the top 10 combinations are dominated by Foden, who features in half of them. B. Fernandes, Saka, Bruno G. and Dewsbury-Hall are also trending upwards, while Mbeumo, Semenyo, Enzo, Gakpo and Salah are among the most commonly sold.
Defenders show a clear pattern too: moving out Virgil has become a priority, with J. Timber, Cash, Andersen and Chalobah the most popular replacements. Senesi is also being sold after being flagged as an injury doubt for Gameweek 16, though there remains a possibility he could still be available.
Bruno G. (81) and Rice (84) sit at fourth and second in the midfielder FPL points rankings and are both popular transfers ahead of Gameweek 16.

As the above image from our Player Heatmaps feature shows, they have both delivered for their owners over the last six Gameweeks with Bruno G. (6.5) slightly ahead for points per game to Rice (5.7).

The statistics from the last six Gameweeks show Rice edging Bruno G. in most areas, though the margins aren’t huge.
Rice has taken slightly more shots (10 vs nine), more shots in the box (three vs two), and holds a higher expected goals tally (1.03 vs 0.60).
Creatively, the England international also leads the way. Thanks to set-piece responsibilities, he has produced 11 attempted assists compared to seven for Bruno G., and has created three big chances to the Brazilian’s one.
On the surface, Rice looks the stronger pick. However, FPL managers must also weigh up whether Arsenal’s value lies more in their defence than their midfield, with Saka, J. Timber and Raya all attracting significant interest.
