It was another high-scoring Gameweek across Fantasy Premier League — but even with strong totals, several of our Elite XI: Team Reveal managers suffered frustrating red arrows.
As we move into Gameweek 11, a few familiar names dominate the discussion. Gyökeres, Saka, and Calvert-Lewin are at the centre of selection headaches, while Arsenal’s assets and chip strategy continue to shape transfer plans among our top managers.
Let’s dive into the key talking points and hear directly from the elite minds behind the decisions 👇
Few players have caused more frustration this week than Viktor Gyökeres.
Tarek Balbaa summed up his feelings perfectly:
“It is really frustrating to get a red arrow while scoring 74 pts, but we move on. My chopping list includes Gyökeres, Bruno, Anthony & Burn.”
His plans hinge on the Swedish forward’s fitness:
“If he is available, I could even roll in order to have three Free Transfers next Gameweek. If he is a doubt, I will move him to either João Pedro, Welbeck or Guiu — it will depend on whether I want to redistribute the money into defence or not.”

With Gyökeres expected to be sidelined until after the international break, it looks like our Elite XI manager will be joining the 175,000+ FPL bosses who have already sold him.
According to the Transfer Analytics tool, Mateta (53.9%), João Pedro (15.2%) and Thiago (13.3%) are currently the top three replacements, with all three attracting major attention ahead of Gameweek 11.
World Number 1 FPL Manager, Tom Dollimore echoed those concerns, confirming:
“It’s looking like Gyökeres may have to go. Other players on my hit list are Gvardiol, Reijnders and Stach.”
Meanwhile, James Cooper didn’t mince words when describing his current state of play:
“Major surgery needed for me. Gyökeres, Reijnders, and Stach pose problems. Unsure what the outcome looks like, but I’ll almost certainly be using all three of my Free Transfers.”
And it’s not just Gyökeres causing issues — Calvert-Lewin has joined the injury list, with Corey Baker admitting:
“Only issue is that Calvert-Lewin may have a knock which is annoying as I would really like to play my Bench Boost one of the next two weeks.”
Daniel Boije was even more blunt in his assessment:
“Might need to transfer out Calvert-Lewin. Which is no problem because he is terrible.”
It’s clear the patience for both strikers is wearing thin.
Arsenal assets continue to dominate Elite XI discussions — and it’s no surprise, with four Gunners currently among the top 10 FPL points scorers, according to the Opta Stats Sandbox.

The big question, though, is which three are the best to own?
Philman reflected on the challenges of his setup:
“I was happy with my team two weeks ago. However, I am suffering from not going for the optimal Arsenal players. Saka has not justified his place, Sarr has been unlucky, and going Timber over Gabriel worked early, but Gabriel has been insane since.”
He’s now plotting a double move:
“The plan this week is to go Saka and DCL to Rice and Mateta, and bench Gordon. I would love to bring Gabriel in, but it isn’t easy with owning three Arsenal already.”
For Philman, the dream setup is clear:
“It’s not hard to say that the ultimate three Arsenal players to own right now would be Gabriel, Timber and Rice.”
Tom Dollimore is thinking along slightly different lines:
“Will be weighing up different plans with Saka vs Timber as the third Arsenal spot. Can’t see any pressure from a cash perspective so will be holding off any transfers until I have all the info for the week.”
While many managers are rolling transfers, a few are opting for bold shake-ups.
Tarek Balbaa revealed a detailed watchlist, highlighting potential short- and long-term targets:
“My watchlist includes João Pedro (!), Welbeck, Gakpo, Mbeumo, Timber and Van Dijk.”
He’s also considering Gakpo in Gameweek 12 and a Bruno to Mbeumo switch shortly after, showing he’s already thinking several Gameweeks ahead.
Mark Mansfield, meanwhile, continues to live up to his reputation for bold moves:
“Don’t make early transfers, they say. Don’t take points hits, they say. To them I say — Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!”
He’s already made several changes which you can see on the Elite XI: Team Reveal page, while planning a Wildcard in Gameweek 13.
That confidence might just pay off — or backfire spectacularly. Either way, it’s classic Mansfield.
There’s no consensus when it comes to chips, with managers split between activating and saving.
Daniel Boije is pushing all his chips in:
“Playing my Bench Boost this week. Might get rid of Woltemade as well. Will be shocked if Mateta isn’t in my team come deadline.”

Here’s how his bench currently looks on the Elite XI: Team Reveal page — though it’s likely to look very different by the Gameweek 11 deadline once he’s used his free transfers.
Corey Baker, on the other hand, is taking a slower approach:
“If DCL isn’t healthy, I will likely make a move for Isidor in Gameweek 12. The other option would be to wait for a few weeks but that requires spending more on my 8th attacker than I’d like. Did I mention before these new chips are annoying?”
He plans to roll his transfer and attack Gameweek 13 with a mini overhaul:
“At that time, I’ll be bringing a Man United midfielder in for Enzo and downgrading DCL or Isidor to Guiu to afford it.”
