With the Gameweek 10 deadline approaching, thousands of Fantasy Premier League managers are turning to in-form assets such as Mateta, Mbeumo and Sarr — while struggling names like João Pedro and Reijnders are being offloaded in huge numbers.

The Transfer Analytics tool shows clear movement patterns across the FPL landscape. Let's dive into them in more detail.
Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.7m) is the standout transfer target ahead of Gameweek 10.
Mateta has had 15 big chances so far this season 👀

That’s more than each of these clubs:
🍒 Bournemouth (14)
🌲 Nott’m Forest (14)
⚪️ Fulham (14)
🦁 Aston Villa (13)
🍷 Burnley (10)
⚒️ West Ham (10)
🐺 Wolves (8) pic.twitter.com/0bBB6IFaFE
The Palace forward has scored five goals in nine matches, collecting 39 FPL points and three bonus so far. His underlying numbers are even more impressive — 7.95 expected goals (xG) and 15 big chances — suggesting he’s actually underperformed his potential and could easily have more goals to his name.
Palace face Brentford (H), Brighton (A) and Wolves (H) next — a strong run that offers plenty of opportunity for further returns.

At the other end of the transfer market, João Pedro (£7.5m) is the most-sold player this week as shown in the Transfer Analytics tool. Over 860,000 managers have moved him on after five blanks in his last six games.
Despite Chelsea’s upcoming fixtures against Tottenham (A), Wolves (H) and Burnley (A), few are prepared to give him another chance.
Bryan Mbeumo (£8.2m) is the most transferred-in player overall, with over 960k new owners this week as shown in the Transfer Analytics tool.

He’s delivered 4 goals and 1 assist in 9 games, along with 8 bonus points and 51 FPL points making him the second highest scoring midfielder behind only Semenyo (73).
His upcoming fixtures — Nottingham Forest (A), Tottenham (A), Everton (H) — suggest further returns could be on the cards.
❌ No attacking return since Gameweek 5

❌ Hasn't played a full 90 since then
❌ Sold by over 300k managers

On the other hand, Tijjani Reijnders (£5.6m) is being sold by over 300k managers, with limited attacking output and tougher fixtures (Bournemouth, Liverpool, Newcastle).
Ismaïla Sarr (£6.6m) continues to build momentum as one of the best value midfielders in FPL and even featured in our recent 5 FPL Differentials You Can’t Ignore for Gameweek 10.
In just seven appearances, he’s produced three goals, one assist, and six bonus points, combining attacking threat with defensive contributions under the new scoring system.

Interestingly, our Elite XI: Team Reveal managers are already ahead of the curve — Sarr features in the Consensus XI midfield, a combined lineup built from managers boasting over 80 top 10k finishes.
Thiago (£6.2m) continues to impress for Brentford, scoring six goals in nine matches and collecting 45 FPL points along with six bonus. He also featured in our recent article Time to Sell João Pedro! 4 FPL Forwards You Should Target.
João Pedro’s continued decline makes the move logical for managers hunting value. With Crystal Palace (A) up next, followed by Newcastle (H) and Brighton (A), Thiago’s underlying numbers remain encouraging — but there may be stronger options up front with more favourable fixtures, as discussed in the blog above.

Data from the Transfer Analytics tool further highlights this trend. Among João Pedro replacements so far, Mateta dominates with 67% of transfers, followed by Thiago (12.8%), Welbeck (6.4%), Woltemade (6.2%), and Kroupi Jr (3.7%).
Viktor Gyökeres (£9.0m) has now blanked in five consecutive matches, returning just 10 points in that period. His struggles have flown slightly under the radar, largely because João Pedro’s poor form has drawn more attention — but it underlines just how disappointing the forward options have been in FPL this season.
Only FIVE forwards rank in the top 50 FPL scorers so far 👀
— Fantasy Football Fix (@FantasyFootyFix) October 28, 2025
1⃣ Haaland – 1st (85 pts)
2⃣ Thiago – 19th (45 pts)
3⃣ João Pedro – 25th (43 pts)
4⃣ Bowen – 30th (42 pts)
5⃣ Mateta – 39th (39 pts)
Are you considering going just 2 up top, or even just Haaland? 🤔
Despite having favourable fixtures on paper, Gyökeres’ attacking output remains limited, and many managers are opting to downgrade to the in-form Mateta, who offers stronger underlying numbers and more value at £1.3m less.
