Chilwell's season was blighted by injury, but the left-back put up impressive numbers whenever he was on the pitch. His average of 3.0 FPL points per match was no doubt affected by Chelsea's poor form over the campaign, but he still managed 0.7 shots and 0.9 attempted assists per game. As the below image from our Fixture Planner shows, Chelsea have a favourable schedule to start the campaign and with R. James ownership much higher, he could be a great differential route into the Blues' defence.
Robertson averaged a healthy 0.2 assists per game over the 2022/23 season, with 1.5 attempted assists per game. His shot volume (0.4) is the lowest of the trio, with the Scotland international playing a slightly deeper role once Alexander-Arnold was pushed into midfield. He still takes a large chunk of set pieces for Liverpool and is a great alternative to the right-back at a 1.5m cheaper price.
Porro featured only for the second half of the 2022/23 campaign, but his numbers are extremely impressive with the right-back top for FPL points (3.9), goals (0.2), assists (0.2), shots (1.7), shots on target (SoT) (0.5), attempted assists (1.7) and Expected FPL involvements (0.3). Postecoglou is known to favour attacking full-backs and the Spaniard is the cheapest of the trio in the comparison.
Perišić's minutes suffered towards the end of Spurs campaign. But the Croatian international's quality meant that he notched 0.2 assists and 0.9 shots per game, while no defender in the comparison averaged more than his 0.3 Expected FPL involvements. A comparison of the numbers with Porro though, would indicate that the Spaniard is the better option.
Although Dalot was rotated with Wan-Bissaka as Man. United's fixtures piled up towards the end of the season, the Portuguese international is still likely to be their first choice right-back and his impressive 3.9 FPL points per game indicate that he could be a cut-price route into their defence. He was a bonus points magnet with the highest Bonus Points System (19.3) points per match and a healthy 1.1 attempted assists.
