MID - Jack Grealish

Grealish became a regular in Guardiola's starting lineup post the World Cup and tops the comparison for assists per game (0.4) last season. His shot volume however was underwhelming, he is bottom for both shots (1.5) and shots on target (SoT) (0.6) with his second place ranking of 1.8 attempted assists per game indicates that while he may tick along, explosive FPL scores will likely be a rarity. Man. City are top of the Fixture Analyser for the first six gameweeks so he is definitely an option worth considering.

FWD - Cody Gakpo

Gakpo played 1465 minutes after signing for Liverpool in the January transfer window last season, the Dutch international tops the comparison for goals per game (0.3) but he often relied on clinical finishing for his FPL output with just 1.9 shots and 0.6 SoT per game. His creativity numbers are also bottom of the comparison with just 1.1 attempted assists per game.

MID - Heung-Min Son

Son suffered a poor season by his standards but still managed 4.2 FPL points per game and a joint-top 0.3 goals per game. He is top of the comparison for shots (2.3) and SoT (1.1) with only Grealish (1.8) and March (2.0) attempting more assists (1.7). He is however the most expensive option in the comparison so he will need to improve his finishing to justify his price tag.

MID - Jarrod Bowen

Bowen was a regular in West Ham's starting lineup last season and he also had a poor campaign by his standards with his numbers improving towards the tail-end of the campaign. He is bottom of the comparison for FPL points per game (3.8) and second-bottom for attempted assists (1.3) but still posted a decent shot volume (2.0). He has received a significant price drop to 7.0 and if he can get back to his form of 2022/23, he could be a cut-price gem.

MID - Solly March

March flourished under De Zerbi with a comparison topping 4.5 FPL points per game, he is also top for attempted assists (2.0) and Expected FPL points (xFPL) (4.8). Only Son (2.3) managed more shots per game than the winger and his ownership is significantly less than Mitoma's for Brighton's kind run of fixtures.
