FPL Accidentally Leaks Four Position Changes for 2026/27?

Fantasy Premier League may have accidentally revealed four major position changes ahead of the 2026/27 game launch.

FPL briefly posted a graphic on X showing Myles Lewis-Skelly, Patrick Dorgu, Eli Junior Kroupi and Omar Marmoush being reclassified for the new season. The post was subsequently deleted, suggesting the graphic may have been published earlier than intended.

Deleted FPL Post Appears to Reveal Four Major Position Changes

The graphic showed the following changes:

1️⃣ Myles Lewis-Skelly: Defender ➡️ Midfielder
2️⃣ Patrick Dorgu: Defender ➡️ Midfielder
3️⃣ Eli Junior Kroupi: Forward ➡️ Midfielder
4️⃣ Omar Marmoush: Midfielder ➡️ Forward

Are These FPL Position Changes Likely?

Although the deleted graphic cannot be treated as official confirmation, all four changes appear realistic based on where the players are expected to operate.

Lewis-Skelly and Dorgu have both regularly played in advanced areas despite previously being classified as defenders. Moving into midfield would reduce their clean-sheet return to one point, while goals would be worth one less point.

Kroupi’s possible switch from forward to midfielder could boost his FPL appeal. He would earn five points per goal instead of four, as well as one point for a clean sheet.

Meanwhile, Marmoush has frequently operated in Manchester City’s forward line. A move from midfielder to forward would reduce his goal returns from five points to four and remove the clean-sheet point he previously received.

An Early Look at the New FPL Game?

The fact that FPL quickly deleted the post suggests it may have been scheduled to go live closer to the launch of the 2026/27 game.

There is always a chance that the graphic contained outdated or incorrect information. However, with each of the proposed changes appearing logical, this could offer an early insight into how the four players will be classified when FPL launches.

Managers should still wait for official confirmation, but it now looks increasingly likely that all four position changes will happen in 2026/27.
