Best Fixture Runs for FPL Attacks in Gameweeks 1–6

With the Fantasy Premier League launch just around the corner, we’ve fired up the Fixture Planner in the Preseason Pack to uncover the best early attacking runs.

Whether you're wildcarding early or want a strong start, targeting favourable fixtures is key—and over the first six Gameweeks, three teams stand out.

📊 Top Attacking FPL Fixture Runs (Gameweeks 1–6)

Top FPL fixtures for attacking difficulty

Here are the teams with the most favourable attacking fixtures over the opening six Gameweeks, ranked using our Fixture Planner.

🌲 Nottingham Forest – Top of the Tree?

Forest rank first for attacking fixture difficulty in Gameweeks 1–6, and it’s easy to see why. While their Gameweek 4 trip to Arsenal looks tricky, every other match is bursting with potential for points.

  • GW1: Brentford (H)
  • GW2: Crystal Palace (A)
  • GW3: West Ham (H)
  • GW4: Arsenal (A)
  • GW5: Burnley (A)
  • GW6: Sunderland (H)

The real appeal kicks in during Gameweeks 5 and 6, when Forest face Burnley and Sunderland, both newly-promoted teams. That’s the window FPL managers might want to pounce.

Chris Wood predicted stats for FPL 2025/26

Enter: Chris Wood. After a monster 200-point haul last season, he’s on everyone’s radar—but not at a bargain. Our Predicted Prices tool from the Preseason Pack has him at £8.0m, a sharp rise from his £6.0m starting price last year. Will you pay the premium?

🍒 Bournemouth – Fixtures Yes, Certainty No?

Second in our rankings are Bournemouth. Yes, they start at Anfield (GW1 vs Liverpool), but beyond that, there’s plenty to like.

  • GW2: Wolves (H)
  • GW3: Spurs (A)
  • GW4: Brighton (H)
  • GW5: Newcastle (H)
  • GW6: Leeds (A)

Gameweeks 2, 4 and 6 are where managers might cash in—with home fixtures against Wolves and Brighton, and a trip to newly-promoted Leeds.

Rotation strategy for Forest and Bournemouth in FPL

Interestingly, the Rotation Planner in the Preseason Pack highlights a very appealing rotation between Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest. If both clubs offer reasonably priced midfielders, this could become a strategy for FPL managers looking to maximise fixture upside.

The downside? Uncertainty.

Key players like Kerkez, Huijsen, and Zabarnyi are all likely to depart. Kepa has returned to Chelsea and rumours are swirling around others. Andoni Iraola could be working with a totally revamped XI in 2025/26—will that instability spook FPL managers?

🔵 Man City – Premium Points Incoming?

No surprises here—Manchester City are always a factor. They open away to Wolves, a match that could see Rayan Ait-Nouri make his debut against his old side. With 4 goals and 7 assists last season, he could be an appealing defensive option if priced kindly.

  • GW1: Wolves (A)
  • GW2: Spurs (H)
  • GW3: Brighton (A)
  • GW4: Man United (H)
  • GW5: Arsenal (A)
  • GW6: Burnley (H)

Despite a potentially sticky trip to Arsenal in GW5, City’s Gameweek 6 home tie vs Burnley is a gift—and you won’t want to be without Erling Haaland when that one comes around.

💭 So… Wood and Haaland in Your Team?

With Haaland’s points ceiling and Wood’s favourable fixtures, are you brave enough to start the season with both?
