DraftKings fantasy football is very similiar to Fantasy Premier League (FPL), but does not require full-time commitment like FPL as it offers year round games that you can play as little or as much as you want.

Here are our fix standout selections for the DraftKings' gameweek 24 daily contest (Tuesday 29th January):

GK / De Gea / $5,900

Man. United host Burnley in gameweek 24, a great opportunity to invest in their defence, and a keeper who kept 19 clean sheets last season. As always our attention is focused on the saves potential of the keepers given the DraftKings’ point scoring system rewarding keepers with 2 points per save, on top of 5 for a clean sheet. The Spaniard has made the third most saves in the league (83) and kept four clean sheets, illustrating his high points potential in this format. Burnley have scored only nine goals in their 12 away matches, the fourth lowest in the league and no team has registered fewer shots on target (SoT) than their 29 on the road. Our Fix predicted points and stats feature suggests that Man. United have a 50% chance of a clean sheet and for additional informative data on Goalkeepers, see our bespoke DraftKings’ custom stats table here.

D / Kolasinac / $5,100

Arsenal will be looking to bounce back after their cup defeat at Man. United, and they could not have asked for a more favourable fixture to do so as they face Cardiff at the Emirates. No defender averages more than Kolasinac’s 0.4 expected assists (+6 points in DraftKings) per game, and he also averages 2 crosses per game (+0.75 points in DraftKings), 0.8 interceptions (+0.5 in DraftKings), 1.3 tackles won (+1 point in DraftKings) and 0.3 goal attempts per match. Arsenal have the third best defensive record in the league at home, with only 10 goals conceded in 12 matches, only Liverpool (six) and Chelsea (nine) have conceded fewer. Their opponents Cardiff have only scored six goals in their 11 away matches so far, the lowest in the league, and registered only 29 SoT, also a league low. Our Fix predicted points and stats feature estimates a 47% probability of Arsenal keeping a clean sheet this week and for more data like this you can access this custom stats table here

M / Sterling / $9,800

The Champions will look to close the gap with Liverpool as they visit the Sports Direct Arena in gameweek 24, and their diminutive winger Sterling is our selection for your midfield slot this week. With goals counting for +10 points in the DraftKings format, an eye for goal is an invaluable attribute, with Sterling averaging 2.0 shots and 1.1 SoT per game. He averages a goal every other game at 0.5, with only Kane (0.6), Aubameyang (0.6) and Salah (0.7) scoring more consistently. He also averages 0.4 assists (+6 points in DraftKings) per game and 2 crosses (+0.5 points in DraftKings), indicating his high ceiling in this format. Newcastle have conceded 17 goals in their 12 home matches, and our Fix predicted points and stats feature predicts Newcastle to have a low probability of a clean sheet this weekend with only 15%, so backing Sterling to get on the scoresheet seems a good shout, and for more data like this you can access this custom stats table here.

F / Rashford / $10,800

Rashford scored for a fourth consecutive gameweek as Man. United continued their good form under Solskjaer with a win against Brighton in gameweek 23, and no forward has scored more goals than his five in the last six gameweeks. No forward landed more SoT than Rashford’s 14 over this period, and he also leads the way for shots in the box with 18. He averages 2.3 shots and 1.3 SoT per match, trailing only Salah (1.7), Kane (1.7) and Pogba (1.9). No team scored more goals (17) or registered more SoT than the Red Devils (47) over the past six gameweeks, with only Liverpool (13) registering more ‘big chances’ than their 11. No team has allowed opponents more shots than Burnleys’ 234 on the road, and only Fulham (30), Bournemouth (25) have conceded more away goals than their 22. Burnley have only a 8% chance of a clean sheet as per our Fix predicted points and stats feature, and for more data like this you can access this custom stats table here.

How to play DraftKings Fantasy Football

For those unaccustomed to this fantastic daily cash game, you are required to select eight players with a $50,000 salary cap. The structure is as follows;

GK -- D x2 -- M x2 -- F x2 -- UTIL (utility player)

The utility player can be either a D (Defender), M (Midfielder) or F (Forward) and will score points in the same way as the other selections. However, you will notice your budget has been spread thin, so, this is all about finding a hidden gem that could score well. For example, a defender that is not typically a big scorer but is playing against a team that struggle to score, therefore heightening the chance of (clean sheet, tackles won, passed intercepted etc.) points.

The format allows you the luxury of entering into a variety of contests including beginner tournaments/leagues, head to heads (against one other opponent), 50/50s (where you win if you finish in the top half) and many more.

The full scoring breakdown is as follows:
