It is Watford defensive assets that look to be the pick of the bunch this week with hapless Huddersfield coming to town. So far Holebas he has been weighing in with very impressive performances and is currently averaging a mighty 13.6 FPPG in DraftKings which is streets ahead of other popular choices, Alexander-Arnold (9.4), Robertson (7.5), as well as his counterpart Janmaat (7.0). The Egypt international has averaged 4 shots on goal per game with an average of 1.7 of those being on target (totaling 5.7 points per game). Salah’s expected goals stat of 0.8 per game also looks promising as each goal will earn you 10 points in DraftKings. Cardiff will have their work cut out keeping Salah and co. at bay according to our predicted points & stats feature which gives the Welsh outfit a miserable 5% chance of keeping a clean sheet. Liverpool are expected to score 3.17 goals according to the same feature which ranks them first for team’s contesting on Saturday, ahead of Bournemouth 2.03. Vardy is our pick of the bunch amongst forwards with his expected goals per game out-trumping other standout selections for this Saturday’s DraftKings’ contest. While others have averaged more shots on target over the first nine games Vardy is joint-third for goals scored, with an average per game of 0.4, and he has been weighing in with more crosses (1.3) than any other as can be seen in the info-graphic below of our custom stats’ table for DraftKings’ scoring criteria. Crosses and goals score 0.75 and 10 points respectively which is encouraging and Vardy should really boost your chances of winning prize money this Saturday. The Leicester forward looks even more appealing seeing as West Ham do not have great projected statistics via our predicted points & stats feature. The East London outfit have a 17% chance of a clean sheet.
For those unaccustomed to this fantastic daily cash game, you are required to select eight players with a $50,000 salary cap. The structure is as follows;
GK -- D x2 -- M x2 -- F x2 -- UTIL (utility player)
The utility player can be either a D (Defender), M (Midfielder) or F (Forward) and will score points in the same way as the other selections. However, you will notice your budget has been spread thin, so, this is all about finding a hidden gem that could score well. For example, a defender that is not typically a big scorer but is playing against a team that struggle to score, therefore heightening the chance of (clean sheet, tackles won, passed intercepted etc.) points.
The format allows you the luxury of entering into a variety of contests including beginner tournaments/leagues, head to heads (against one other opponent), 50/50s (where you win if you finish in the top half) and many more.
