DraftKings fantasy football is very similiar to Fantasy Premier League (FPL), but does not require full-time commitment like FPL as it offers year round games that you can play as little or as much as you want.

Here are our fix standout selections for the DraftKings' gameweek sixteen daily contest (Saturday 8th December):

GK / Hart / $4,600

Burnley host Brighton in gameweek 16, a perfect opportunity to invest in a goalkeeper who has made 10 more saves (70) than any other in the league. As always our attention is focused on the saves potential of the keepers given the DraftKings’ point scoring system rewarding keepers with 2 points per save, on top of 5 for a clean sheet. The Englishman has averaged nearly five saves a game, racked up three clean sheets so far, and has an excellent opportunity to add to that total as only Burnley (16) and Cardiff (18) have fired fewer shots on target (SoT) than the Seagulls 20 on the road. Our Fix predicted points and stats feature suggests that Burnley have a 29% chance of a clean sheet and for additional informative data on Goalkeepers, see our bespoke DraftKings’ custom stats table here.

D / Kolasinac / $4,700

After tough games against Tottenham and Man. United, Arsenal welcome 17th place Huddersfield to the Emirates. Arsenal’s switch to a back three and an injury to Monreal has led to Kolašinac cementing a left-wing back role, and the Bosnian has posted impressive numbers since the tactical change. Over the last four gameweeks, no defender has attempted more assists than the Bosnian’s 10 (+6 points in DraftKings), and no defender has more penalty box touches than his 28.  He has the highest expected assists amongst defenders, and averages three crosses (+0.75 point in DraftKings) and a tackle per match (+1 point in DraftKings). No team has created fewer ‘big chances’ than the Terriers five on the road, and only five teams have scored less than their seven goals. Our Fix predicted points and stats feature backs Arsenal as the likeliest to keep a clean sheet this weekend, with a probability of 56% and for more data like this you can access this custom stats table here.

M / Anderson / $8,200

West Ham put together back to back victories for the first time since January 2017 and appear to have finally found their feet under Pellegrini. Over the last six gameweeks, the Brazilian has fired seven SoT, fifth highest amongst midfielders and ranks highest for goals scored with four. He averages 1.3 shots and 0.7 SoT per game, so the chances of him netting you that crucial +10 points for a goal are pretty high. West Ham are ranked fifth for SiB (shots in the box) over that period with 58 and only Liverpool (14) and Man. City (19) have scored more goals. Our Fix predicts points & stats feature predicts only a 21% probability of a Palace clean sheet, so backing Anderson to breach their defense appears to be a good shout. For more data like this you can access this custom stats table here.

F / Aubameyang / $9,300

The Premier League’s leading scorer is our selection for your forward slot for this weekend’s matches. Over the last four gameweeks, the Gabonese ranks fifth for SoT amongst forwards with five, and leads the way for goals scored with three. Over the same period, the Gunners have taken 61 goal attempts, the fourth highest in the league and only Man. City (12) have scored more goals than Arsenal’s nine. Huddersfield shipped two goals to Bournemouth in a 2-1 loss, and only Burnley (17), Southampton (18) and Fulham (20) have conceded more goals than the Terriers on their travels. Only Chelsea (17) and Man. City (30) have scored more goals than Arsenal’s 16 on home turf, and our Fix predicted points and stats feature estimates only a 7% probability of a Huddersfield clean sheet, the lowest this weekend. Averaging 0.7 goals and 2.2 shots per game, the Gabonese is a great pick to boost your chances of winning prize money, and more data like this you can access this custom stats table here

How to play DraftKings Fantasy Football

For those unaccustomed to this fantastic daily cash game, you are required to select eight players with a $50,000 salary cap. The structure is as follows;

GK -- D x2 -- M x2 -- F x2 -- UTIL (utility player)

The utility player can be either a D (Defender), M (Midfielder) or F (Forward) and will score points in the same way as the other selections. However, you will notice your budget has been spread thin, so, this is all about finding a hidden gem that could score well. For example, a defender that is not typically a big scorer but is playing against a team that struggle to score, therefore heightening the chance of (clean sheet, tackles won, passed intercepted etc.) points.

The format allows you the luxury of entering into a variety of contests including beginner tournaments/leagues, head to heads (against one other opponent), 50/50s (where you win if you finish in the top half) and many more.

The full scoring breakdown is as follows:
