DraftKings fantasy football is very similar to Fantasy Premier League (FPL), but does not require full-time commitment like FPL as it offers year round games that you can play as little or as much as you want.

Here are our fix standout selections for the DraftKings' gameweek 29 daily contest (Saturday 2nd March):

GK / Patricio / $5,700

Wolves host Cardiff in gameweek 29, an opportunity to invest in a goalkeeper who is facing one of the worst away sides in the division. As always our attention is focused on the saves potential of the keepers given the DraftKings’ point scoring system rewarding keepers with 2 points per save, on top of 5 for a clean sheet. The Portuguese has made 81 saves, the fifth-highest in the league, racking up six clean sheets. Only Huddersfield (eight) have scored fewer goals on their travels than Cardiff’s nine, and no team landed fewer shots on target (SoT) on their travels than the Bluebirds’ 34. Our Fix predicted points and stats feature suggests that Wolves have a 43% chance of a clean sheet and for additional informative data on Goalkeepers, see our bespoke DraftKings’ custom stats table here

D / Shaw / $4,700

Shaw notched his third assist of the season as Man. United won 3-1 at Crystal Palace, his fourth attacking involvement thus far. The Red Devils have now kept seven clean sheets, the sixth-highest in the league. The Englishman averages two crosses (+0.75 points in Draftkings), 0.9 interceptions (+0.5 points in DraftKings), 0.3 clean sheets (+3 points in DraftKings), 1.1 tackles (+1 point in DraftKings) and 0.8 shots (+1 point in DraftKings) per match, indicating his multiple routes for points in this format. Man. United’s recent defensive form has been strong, conceding only four goals and 19 SoT in their last six league matches. Our Fix predicted points and stats feature estimates a 45% probability of Man. United keeping a clean sheet this week and for more data like this you can access this custom stats table here.

M / Pogba / $9,700

Man. United will be looking to continue their charge for a Champions league spot as they host a Southampton side that has kept just one clean sheet in the eighteen gameweeks. Only Kane, Aguero and A. Barnes have averaged more shots (+1 points in DraftKings) per match than Pogba’s 3.4, and the Frenchman leads the league for average SoT with 1.8, indicating his goal threat. Over the last six gameweeks, Man. United attempted 92 shots, with only Man. City (93) and Leicester (104) attempting more. They scored 11 goals , with only five teams scoring more and also landed the third most shots on target (SoT) with 34, beaten only by Man. City and Liverpool who both managed 38. Our Fix predicted points and stats feature predicts Southampton to have only a 11% probability of a clean sheet this weekend, so the Frenchman is a great pick for your squad, and for more data like this you can access this custom stats table here.

F / Jiménez / $8,900

Wolves will be looking to recover from their loss against Huddersfield in gameweek 28 as they host Cardiff and given that the Bluebirds have shipped 14 goals in their last six matches, Jiménez is our forward recommendation for this week. He averages 0.8 crosses (+1 point in DraftKings), three shots and one SoT per game, and has racked up ten goals and seven assists already. Wolves have scored 12 goals in their last six matches, with only Liverpool (14), Arsenal (14) and Man. City (16) scoring more. Only four teams managed more SoT than their 28, and only Man. City created more ‘big chances’ than their 17. Our Fix predicted points and stats feature estimates only a 16% probability of a Cardiff clean sheet, and for more data like this you can access this custom stats table here.

How to play DraftKings Fantasy Football

For those unaccustomed to this fantastic daily cash game, you are required to select eight players with a $50,000 salary cap. The structure is as follows;

GK -- D x2 -- M x2 -- F x2 -- UTIL (utility player)

The utility player can be either a D (Defender), M (Midfielder) or F (Forward) and will score points in the same way as the other selections. However, you will notice your budget has been spread thin, so, this is all about finding a hidden gem that could score well. For example, a defender that is not typically a big scorer but is playing against a team that struggle to score, therefore heightening the chance of (clean sheet, tackles won, passed intercepted etc.) points.

The format allows you the luxury of entering into a variety of contests including beginner tournaments/leagues, head to heads (against one other opponent), 50/50s (where you win if you finish in the top half) and many more.

The full scoring breakdown is as follows:
