12 teams play twice in the biggest double gameweek of the season and in this blog the Fix Algorithm point projections are analysed for each position.
Three premium goalkeepers Alisson (9.4), Ederson (8.9) and Mendy (8.6) dominate the top-five goalkeeper projections. The trio have kept a combined 52 clean sheets over the campaign and can be relied upon to start both the games without any threat of rotation. Schmeichel (9.1) looks a great value pick with home games against Everton and Norwich as well as a double the following week. As the below image from our Transfer Stats feature shows, the Danish international is a popular acquisition with three of the top five transfer combinations involving the 35-year old.
Chelsea wingbacks R. James (13.2) and Alonso (11.9) are the top-two projected defenders and as the below image from our Fixture Analyser shows, Chelsea have a great set of fixtures for the run in, so the pair are great buys for the remainder of the season.
Liverpool's attacking fullbacks Alexander-Arnold (11.4) and Robertson (10.4) are also expected to do well, they are the top-two defenders for chances created over the season, with 83 and 52 attempted assists each. Man. City's double also looks good for clean sheet potential with Dias (10.3), Cancelo (10.0) and Laporte (9.4) also making the top-seven.
Salah (13.2) is the joint-top projected scorer (alongside R. James) for gameweek 36 and the Egyptian has plenty of incentive to find the back of the net with Son chasing him down in the Golden Boot race. De Bruyne (12.0) was rested against Leeds in gameweek 35 and is a great captaincy shout. Despite a poor showing in the last two gameweeks, Mount (10.2) and Havertz (9.7) are projected to do well, and managers holding the pair should consider keeping the faith. If De Bruyne's price is a step too far, Mahrez (9.7) looks an intriguing option for investment in Man. City's attack, with the explosivity of the winger.
Vardy's (11.6) return to fitness sees him ranked first amongst forwards with Kane (8.7) in second. Both of Pukki's (7.6) opponents West Ham and Leicester will be involved in European knockout competitions prior to gameweek 36 and the Finnish international could benefit. Richarlison (7.5) found the back of the net against Chelsea in gameweek 35 and the Brazilian is a great pick with back to back doubles particularly as he has penalty duties in his locker
