Salah tops the Stats Sandbox for xFPL (45.54) and no player in the comparison has scored more than his 49 FPL points over the last six gameweeks. The Egyptian international is top for shots (18) and 'Expected Goals' (xG) (3.81) with only Alexander-Arnold (12) attempting more assists than his nine. Watkins has scored as many goals as Salah (four) and while he has taken fewer shots (15), he has landed more efforts on target (12 vs nine) and his xG numbers (3.43) are not too far behind Salah's (3.81). Darwin (362) has played significantly fewer minutes than Salah (539) but has notched just one fewer goal (three) and registered just one fewer 'big chance' (three vs four). The Uruguayan international has created just five chances but is still third for 'Expected Assists' (xA) (1.44), behind only Alexander-Arnold (1.49) and Salah (1.92).

Robertson vs Alexander-Arnold

Alexander-Arnold (39) has outscored Robertson (29) over the last six gameweeks for FPL points but as the above image from our Fix Heatmaps feature shows, the underlying numbers indicate that the right-back might not be worth the extra 0.5 outlay over the Scottish international. Robertson did miss a game during this period, with Tsimikas starting but with Champions League commitments out of the way, gametime should be similar for the two fullbacks going forward. The xG numbers (0.22 vs 0.23) for the pair are very similar with Robertson actually attempting more shots in the box (SiB) (three vs one). Alexander-Arnold has the edge for creativity though with 12 attempted assists to Robertson's nine and also 'big chances' created (four vs three). Both appear to be excellent options, but if money is a consideration, Robertson is not a significant downgrade from Alexander-Arnold.

Who has the better fixtures?

gw29liv3

As the above image from our Fixture Analyser shows, Villa and Liverpool have a similar set of fixtures over the next four gameweeks. The double in gameweek 28 involves away matches for both teams and they also play Forest at home in the next four. Liverpool host Arsenal in gameweek 30 while Villa host Newcastle in gameweek 31. Both teams have generally fared better in home matches this season and it remains to be seen whether they can deliver in the away games in gameweek 29. Liverpool also have a double fixture for gameweek 34, while Villa will not have any doubles for the rest of the season after gameweek 29.

On the basis of this analysis, Watkins and Mings look to be the only investible picks from Villa. Liverpool might be a different beast now, since a top-four finish is their only remaining target for the season. Salah is owned by under 20% of the top 100k and could be a great differential.
